Tropical Traditions is a company that makes a wide variety of natural products, including many that come from coconuts. I’ll be honest, I didn’t have a clue that coconuts or coconut oil could be used for much. When I learned that I would be receiving some virgin coconut oil from tropical traditions for review, I started to do a bit of research and found that coconut oil has an almost endless number of uses.
For cooking uses alone there is a huge list of recipes with virgin coconut oil you can make. I haven’t experimented with using this for cooking too much, but I did use it instead of butter in a frying pan and it seems to evaporate a lot quicker than regular oil, but it does leave a slight coconut flavor in what you cook which is nice.
This oil can also be used as a lotion or body oil. I tried using this as a massage oil for my boyfriend and it worked well and didn’t leave him feeling overly greasy or anything afterwards.
This coconut oil solidifies if it’s stored cooler than 76 degrees, so I’ve watched it go from solid to liquid many times depending on whether or not we have our AC on or not. It doesn’t seem to matter if it is in solid or liquid form though, it works just the same.
Tropical traditions sells so many products other than coconut oil. They make natural household cleaners, skin care products, pet products and more.
