Many of you entered the 25 crazy dayz of giveawayz I had that included a bracelet from sg designs. Her semiprescious stone bracelets are gorgeous it’s true but that’s not all that Stephanie offers on her website. I was sent a customized hand painted greeting card for review. I’ll admit, I rarely buy cards when I give presents as it seems silly to pay 3.50 for a card that does a so-so job of expressing my feelings for the person, that will simply be thrown away within 10 minutes of the birthday party ending. However, a few times in my life i’ve received really nice, thoughtful cards that I have kept for years when they strike me as very personal in nature. Cards are designed to be a personal thoughtful gift, and that is exactly what the handpainted greeting cards at sg designs are all about. Part of the reason why handmade cards are so nice is because they can be customized for the person you are giving the card to. Stephanie’s cards are watercolor paintings that she makes in 15 minutes or less. You can choose most anything that you’d like her to paint and she’ll make you a card that is perfect for the occasion you want to use the card for. I was so excited to open the card that she painted for me based on a photo I had sent her. This card is so well done and is definitely something i’ll keep for years. I can only imagine how special it would be to receive one for a gift. They are definitely worth the 6.00 (only a couple dollars more than you’d spend on a generic card) and are much more likely to be kept for years. The inside is blank so you can write your own personal greeting or even write out a long letter to your loved one. I sent her this photo of my hedgehog Henry. I had expected that she would simply draw a hedgehog based card, but was thrilled to see that it wasn’t just ANY hedgehog that she drew it was MY hedgehog. Right down to his oddly colored group of quills on his one side. Here is the photo and then an image of the card. I just love it.
