Create Abilities for Kids is one of the most unique companies I have heard of in a long time.  As a parent I strive to sit down with Little C and spend some one on one time with him whether we color, read books, play trucks or go out to the park.  Now that it is cold, going to the park isn’t a great choice and Little C seems to get bored playing with his toys or coloring.  One thing he doesn’t get tired of are books.  He would sit and let me read to him all day long.  However, there is one other thing that Little C can’t get enough of and that is doing crafts or art.  I find it very easy to sit down and find an art activity for him, but what isn’t so easy is the fact that I rarely have every single thing I need in order for us to do the artwork.  Art supplies can be quite expensive and they usually come in bulk.  Having only one child at home, I see it as a waist of money to go out and buy a big bag of art supplies for just one art project.  Here is where Create Abilities for Kids comes in.

Create Abilities for Kids is a fantastic company that has a team with many years of experience in child care and education.  The members of Create Abilities for Kids believe that children develop self-esteem when they begin making their own art projects.  The process of art at a young age has also been proven to be an important part of a child’s development.  To make life easier for parents, Create Abilities for Kids comes up with art projects and will send you every single item you need in order to create the artwork with your child.  They have monthly themes and some of them are holiday related.  You can subscribe to get anywhere from 2-4 art activities a month.  The price starts at $14.85 and goes up to $23.85.  They do all of the work for you.  All you have to do is get your kit in the mail and have fun creating art with your child!

We received 2 art kits in our box and everything was organized so nicely.  There was a large piece of brown paper to cover my table and 2 gallon sized ziplock bags with crafts.  The first bag contained an instruction sheet, a piece of construction paper, 2 craft sticks, a small container of red paint, a small container of white paint, a small container of glue, a small sponge and a foam brush.  With those supplies Little C created and Airplane in the Sky and he loved every minute of it.  The second bag came with a white construction paper cutout, a brown construction paper cutout, google eyes, feathers in a sandwich ziplock bag, a small container of glue, a foam paintbrush and a beak and feet cutouts.  Little C created a turkey with these supplies.

Now as you can imagine, I had maybe 2-3 of these supplies sitting around my house, but in order to fulfill the art activity I would have had to go out and buy most of my supplies.  Little C was so excited about this review that I had to make him wait to actually do the artwork.  He had a blast and there was a little extra paint and glue left over from the kits and he enjoyed using those to create even more art on his own.

Create Abilities for Kids would be a great subscription for your young children this holiday season.  Once they start receiving their artwork packages in the mail they will fall in love and have so much fun creating their artwork!  The art kits are designed for ages 3, 4 and 5.  The kit I received was for a 5 year old and Little C absolutely loved it!  He could have done an art project every day!
