It seems like everywhere you go and everything you do now has a GREEN option to it. I think it’s wonderful. My family certainly isn’t the most Eco-friendly family in America but, we are taking steps toward improving.

Recently the town we grocery shop in, passed a plastic bag ban. This was the perfect kick I needed to switch from paper bags to reusable shopping bags. When Our Green Home contacted me to review their reusable shopping bags, I was excited. For my review, I received the Rad Plaid- Total Shopping Bag System.

Our Green Home is a wonderful resource for Eco-Friendly goods. They also share information, resources and tips on GREEN options.

The Total Shopping Bag System comes with 3 Love Sack Grocery Bags, 5 Flip & Tumble Produce Bags and 1 Chico Compact Reusable Tote. This is a great starter set when you switch to reusable bags.

I like how durable the Love Sacks are. They feel strong and keep my groceries secure on the ride home from the store. Flip & Tumble produce bags are also very convenient to use. I do wish they were a little larger in size but, then again, I buy way more produce that the average person.

Our Chico bag has been made into a library bag. We try to visit our local library every few weeks. Prior to this, we would grab a plastic bag, fill it with books, it would rip and we would then throw it away. Now that we have a sturdy reusable bag dedicated to the library, we have not only been able to reduce the waste of plastic bags but we are now able to keep better track of our library books. I also got the bright idea to clip our library card to the bag. It works brilliantly!

Don’t forget, Earth Day on April 22, 2013!

Our Green Home is on facebook and twitter.

One lucky winner is going to receive a Total Shopping Bag System. This is a US giveaway that will end on 4/12/13.
