*I was provided with toys from MMP Living in exchange for this blog post. All opinions are my own.

Back in August I wrote about how MMP Living is a website and Amazon store that has a huge selection of toys for kids. I was really happy with both of the toys that I got back then, for Drew’s third birthday and they’ve held up great and he still plays with them all the time. So, I was excited to get a chance to feature them as a place to shop for gifts for children this holiday season.

This time around, I went with two more toys for Drew. Drew loves to play baseball and he’s really good for his age. He doesn’t like using a T anymore because it bores him. When he has someone throwing the ball to him, he’ll be able to hit it about 50% of the time which is really good for a 3 year old. It’s fun playing with him, but he never wants to stop and especially now that he has a 7 year old sister, us adults don’t always have hours to throw the ball for him so I’ve been looking at pitching machines for kids and they just don’t seem to exist for toddlers or preschoolers. This didn’t really surprise me as most kids this age need to use a T anyway. So I started comparing the pitching machines to try and decide which ones Drew might be able to make work even if they aren’t really designed for his age and I went with the MLB Pop A Pitch from MMP Living.

One of the huge bonuses of MMP Living being right on amazon is being able to access lots of reviews. It has 4.5 out of 5 starts with 11 people reviewing it which made me feel pretty good about it. I thought it would be a good option or Drew seems how it is easy to operate – you just place the balls in and then step on the button to make it work. I knew he would be able to run it on his own without a problem. The balls are really lightweight plastic so if he accidentally gets hit with one, it won’t be super painful.  It took a bit of maneuvering to assemble as it didn’t snap together very easily but its small enough once assembled that we can store it fine as is so its just a one time issue.  It doesn’t require batteries which I love too.  It includes a plastic bat as well and the handle collapses up into the end of the bat for smaller storage if you want to put it back into the box it comes in. The regular price is $19.99 but it’s currently on sale for $15 so its a super affordable gift.

The other toy that I went with is the Learning Resources Doctor Set With Bag. This set includes lots of pretend play items for being a doctor including a stethoscope, blood pressure cuff, thermometer, syringe and 13 others. Drew has been interested in pretending to be a doctor lately so I know he’ll enjoy this set. Little details like how the bandage curls around your arm or a teddys arm, leg, etc and how the blood pressure cuff has a squeezable handle on it really adds to the play value.  I love how the bad included isn’t just for looks but is actually big enough to include all of the pieces for easier storage.

I tend to be a procrastinator, so my absolute favorite thing about MMP Living is how they are right on Amazon so I can use my prime shipping to get my package with free shipping and it will be delivered in just two days. For that reason, MMP Living is a great place for last minute online shopping.

Connect: You can connect with MMP Living on Twitter. Or check them out on Amazon.

Win it: MMP Living has offered two prizes – the Pop A Pitch baseball set and the Doctors set. There will be two winners. The first widget is for the doctor set, the second is for pop a pitch. Both giveaways will end at 11:59pm EST on 11/24. Giveaways are open to the US only.
