Thank you to Nutrisystem for providing me with product in exchange for this honest blog review. All opinions are 100% my own.

I have completed four full weeks of Nutrisystem. Each week, I have measured my body and weighed myself. It is both an exciting and nerve-racking task. I hold my breath every time I step on the scale and weigh myself several times to make sure I get a consistent reading. For me, this is the easiest way to track my progress.

I have a few friends who are also trying to lose weight. They track their progress in other ways. One of them uses a pair of jeans. They were skin tight on her in the beginning and now are fitting better. Another is tracking her progress with her ability to walk/jog further distances.

My progress this week shows-
Weight loss of 1.8 pounds
Arms no change
Waist lost 1 inch
Chest no change
Hips lost 1 inch
Thighs lost 2 inches
Calves lost 1 inch
Total loss of 5 inches and 1.8 pounds
So, during my first month of Nutrisystem, I have lost 18.5 inches and 9 pounds!

Next month, I am going to work on increasing my activity level and extending my workout times. The weather has changed here in Oregon; it is cloudy, rainy, windy and yucky most days. This means I am going to be doing more indoor exercising. I have a few pilates and yoga DVDs I can use. I also have a treadmill and a recumbent bike. For me, having a variety of exercises is key. Being able to do different things each day, helps hold my interests.

What about you? What are your favorite indoor exercises? How do you track your progress?

I like the 2 inches off the thighs! Now thats impressive! It is amazing just what under 2 pounds can do. I would think everything is fitting differently now too. I bet you feel fantastic. Good job, keep going!

  • It sounds like you are doing so well. I am proud that you are sticking to the program. I will be so worth it in the end. Good luck in exercising in the house.

We have an exercise bike in the bedroom, and when the weather is too hot or too cold, I’ll walk for a half hour in the house going from room to room

You’re doing great despite the weather! I have been walking to the post office (10 minutes away) several times a week, since our apartment mailboxes were broken. For the 20 minutes, I get some exercise, vitamin D (in sunny California), and get an errand done. I don’t get bored with indoor exercise like yoga, Pilates, and dancing, but it’s good to get some fresh air outside. Good luck on increasing your activity next month.

I swim 3 times a week. It’s good that you have a variety of ways to exercise. Keep up the good work.

Yoga & riding my recumbent bike are my 2 go-to exercises. I would like to try out something new… maybe tai chi

Those are great results! Congratulations! I tend to use a recumbent bike and elliptical. I also like to do Zumba on my Wii.

You never said what you thought about food, was it good or just so so? Based on everything is it worth investing in?
