CandleScience.com sent me a soy candle making kit for my gift guide. All opinions are my own.

I loved getting craft kits as gifts as a child. Now as an adult I still enjoy creating things but my skills are pretty limited. I wish craft kits for adults were more common. I save so many awesome craft or DIY projects online but looking at the list of needed items overwhelms me before I even begin.

I have a few people in my life who have tried their hand at making candles, but I had no idea how to go about getting started. I came across CandleScience which is a website that sells all kinds of candle and soap making supplies. If you’re the type of person who can follow an online tutorial from scratch they have everything you could ever want.

However, if you’re a bit more hesitant and want a lot of guidance for your first time, they have a Soy Candle Making Kit! It comes with supplies and instructions to guide you through making 12 candles in total, in four scents. They even have a video guide that you can use once you get your kit to help guide you through it. The only things you’ll need that DON’T come with the kit are a medium sized sauce pot, a large spoon or stirring utensil, rubbing alcohol and paper towel.

I would love to keep this kit for myself but I am gifting it to my sister in law this Christmas. She loves to crochet and do some other crafts, and she’a also a candle-lover. She rotates candles out based on scent and season. I thought the combination of her being crafty and enjoying candles would make this DIY candle making kit perfect for her this year.
