Thank you to Nutrisystem for providing me with products in exchange for this honest blog review. All opinions are 100% my own.

Earlier today I was clothing shopping with my two young daughters. My youngest daughter is at the age where her body is beginning to change/mature. Finding clothing that fits her, the way she would like them to has become difficult. Today we needed to find a dressy outfit. The options she took into the dressing room were either the wrong length, too revealing, too tight or just didn’t feel right. While we were at the first store, she became frustrated and wanted to quit looking. I convinced her to go to another store and that is where the meltdowns began. She was sobbing uncontrollably. My heart broke into a million pieces. I can completely understand how she was feeling. She tried on so many things and nothing worked. With each outfit, the tears fell harder. We went to a third store and she completely shutdown. I got her to try on one last outfit. Luckily it worked enough to get a half smile on her beautiful face. The entire drive home I was holding back my tears. It is a horrible feeling to not be able to make everything right for your kids.

When we got home, I sat her down for a heart to heart talk. We talked about everything Nutrisystem has taught me-  choosing nutritious foods, proper portion sizes, drinking water as well as getting enough exercise and sleep. I gave her one of my Nutrisystem food journals so we could track our meals together. We are going to start taking nightly walks together and will prepare meals together.

I am so blessed to have the opportunity to work with Nutrisystem. I am learning how to make healthy choices for myself as well as my family.

You need to teach your kids the healthy way to live. You’re setting good examples for them.

Kids, especially girls get at a point where they are self conscious and they are between be little and growing up. Things fit funny, they feel funny. Thats pretty normal, and it happens at other life stages too. I think the walks will be a good opportunity for you to spend time with her.
