I am a soda addict. More specifically, a mounatin dew addict. We all know that most soda’s are really bad for you, so I sometimes search for new sodas that I enjoy but that are healthier than traditional sodas. In my search I came across zevia, who allowed me to do a review. Before I get into that though, here’s a little background on their company and their product, taken from their website.
zevia is the first all natural zero calorie soda. With only pure ingredients, zevia contains none of the chemically processed artificial sugar substitutes, artificial flavors or artificial colors found in other diet sodas. zevia is all-natural, has zero calories, zero net carbs, zero fat, and little or no sodium (depending on flavor).
All seven delicious ZEVIA varieties – ZEVIA Natural Cola, ZEVIA Natural Orange, ZEVIA Natural Twist, ZEVIA Natural Root Beer, ZEVIA Natural Black Cherry, and ZEVIA Natural Ginger Ale – are healthier and taste better than any other diet soda.
Sounds pretty cool right? zevia was so generous that they sent me 4 cans of each of their flavors, I was floored when the package arrived. So much soda! As i’ve mentioned before, I tend to be really picky when it comes to food and drinks. Also, I’m used to drinking regular soda instead of diet soda. So I didn’t care for this soda, but my boyfriend who does like some diet brands of soda, enjoyed a few of the flavors, the ones that I remember him mentioning that he particularly liked were the black cherry and orange flavors. So perhaps it’s just my ‘anti-diet’ tastebuds that couldn’t get along with this soda. However, I’m still glad that I was able to try it out because with it being all natural and zero calorie, it would have been SO worth it if I had liked it. It’d also be great for my little sister who is always asking to drink my soda – I rarely allow her to because I hate to get her started on the addicted path that I’ve been on for my entire life, but with this soda I won’t have to worry at all about her drinking it.
