I’m one of those people who is always cold. This doesn’t mix well with living in Michigan. However, I’ve found myself a new friend, that being herbal hugs heat packs. I was sent a body pack for review and I love it. It’s kind of small to use for a heating pad for your back, etc but would be perfect for kids to use for their back or belly. It works great for me just for a ‘heat me up’ pack. I heat it up and lay it at the edge of my keyboard, so that my wrists and arms stay warm while online. I also just heat it up and cuddle up with it as I fall to sleep as well. It can also be put in the freezer and used as a cold pack, and is a great size for kids’ boo boos or knee or shoulder pain. The pack I received was rose and chamomile scented. Although I don’t mind roses, I don’t think of rose as one of my favorite scents, but I love the combination of scents in this pack, it’s very soothing. In addition to rose and chamomile scent, herbal hugs also offers a herbal mint, or lavender scents. Or if you prefer they offer a ‘natural’ scent instead. Herbal hugs sells other sizes besides the body pack size that I received, including a neck wrap size, which is long and skinny, or a small, skinny eye pack size. These packs would be a great gift idea for just about anyone, really. They are great for kids who are sick or have boo boos, teenage athletes, as well as women or men who deal with aches and pains of any kind. The smaller ones would make great stocking stuffers as well!

I learned that When you place your Hug in the freezer you need to seal it in a plastic bag. Otherwise it picks up the odors of the freezer. Depending on how badly it smells, you may be able to leave it out, uncovered and see if the smell dissipates. It may take a few days.

I learned that by heating at 50% heat you are taking better care of your Hug and extending it’s life.
