For as far back as I can remember, I have always had cold feet. People are always telling me to wear thicker socks or wool slippers but I don’t like to wear thick socks and I typically don’t like how warm and boring wool slippers are. They just don’t match my personality. I can basically continue to complain about how cold my feet are or I can opt to wear boring slippers. Well, those were my options before I discovered Collegien Slippers!
Collegien Slippers is a French company established in 1947. In 2006, they developed a whole new slipper concept: a slipper-sock as thin as a sock but with a perforated breathable and flexible sole. They now offer a variety of slippers, socks, tights, and even iPad sleeves. They actually have 3 different types of slipper-socks: a short slipper-sock, a high slipper-sock, and a ballet-style slipper-sock. They have slippers for newborns all the way to Men size 11. Slippers are machine washable in cold water. They have all kinds of fun patterns, from solids, to stripes, to polka dots, and cute prints.

For this review, I received a pair of ballet-style Grenadine slipper-socks with white and navy blue stripes. First of all, I love how modern they look, no more ugly slippers for me!
As soon as I put them on, I was impressed by how comfortable they are. The sole is so flexible you can fold it on half in your hand! It’s perfect to protect my feet from the cold. I thought they might get too warm but since the upper sock pack is thin and the sole is perforated, my feet never get too warm. It’s so nice to finally be able to keep my feet at a comfortable temperature!
I have been wearing them daily for many days now. I can’t get over how comfortable they are and I am so pleased to have found a company that doesn’t equate slippers with boring! They would make a great present for anyone with constantly cold feet but they also make great indoors shoes for daycare all the way to college. Because they are so compact, I actually keep mine in my purse so I have them wherever I go!
