Like many people, I have very sensitive skin. This can be a problem when it comes to makeup products, or especially skin care products. I’ve spent a good deal of money on skin care products that ended up stinging my skin, or irritating my skin. Born Skincare is a line of skin care products that are all-natural, organic, and toxic free. Their The Source collection is made from natural oils that are extracted without the use of any chemicals. They have products for various types of skin, or that target specific skin problems. I was very excited to be able to review some products from Born Skincare.

I received the following products from Born Skincare to review:

CIMG0356I received the The Source for Sensitive Skin, and The Source for Mothers.

While I am not a mother, The Source for Mothers was still applicable to me. The Source for Mothers can be used to prevent, and help heal stretch marks. It can also be used to help heal and fade scars. I personally get stretch marks really easily, and have some that I got while I was on prednisone about a year ago. They still haven’t gone away. I used this on my stretch marks for a couple weeks, and I really did notice a lightening of them. They haven’t gone away, or faded completely, but there has been some improvement. I imagine it would work better to prevent them in the first place. I also even put some on cuts I was worried might become scars, and it seemed to help. Of course, do not put this on an open wound.

The Source for Mothers solution itself is pretty much just an oil consistancy. It squirts out on the area, and you have to rub it in. It does take a little while to rub in, so you have to deal with your skin feeling a bit oily for a little while. The Source for Mothers is a mix of muscadine oil and coconut oil. It’s completely safe, and all-natural, which makes it great for just about everyone, but especially great, and safe for any expecting mothers.

I really enjoyed The Source for Sensitive Skin. This one is made from muscadine oil. Muscadine is a type of grape which has the highest level of antioxidants of any grape. Its oil works really well on the skin. It’s a fast absorbing oil that helps with dry, itchy skin, eczema, and many other skin conditions. It’s also great for sensitive skin. This product can be used on the face, or skin.

I used The Source for Sensitive Skin both on my face, and on my hands. I get eczema pretty badly on my hands, and I’ve tried many products for it. Prescribed lotions from my doctor have never worked, and most lotions you can buy in the store don’t do anything for my eczema. The Source for Sensitive Skin definitely did work for my eczema. When it started to flare-up, I would put some on it, and it would help relieve the itching, and eventually help the skin heal and go back to normal. Of course, it doesn’t get rid of eczema, but it definitely helped the flare-ups.

I also used the Born Skincare The Source for Sensitive Skin on my face. I was a bit hesitant to. The Source for Sensitive Skin is an oil, so of course, it’s oily. This one absorbs fairly quickly into the skin, although you still have a small period of oily skin while it absorbs. Despite my hesitation, I used it on my face, and actually really liked it. It’s recommended to use it as a night moisturizer, and that’s exactly what I did. It left my skin feeling soft, and hydrated. I actually use it now instead of my normal moisturizer.

Overall, I really liked these skincare products from Born Skincare. I like that they’re all natural, and worked well even on my very sensitive skin. If you’re looking for all natural, organic, toxic free skin care products, you should check them out!
