Thank you BuiltNY
for providing me with products to review, free of charge.
These are my own honest opinions.

builtny logoI’ve been a fan of BuiltNY for a long time. I love the design of their products and their colorful prints and their use of neoprene (the wetsuit material) is totally genius!

BuiltNY is already very well known for their lunch totes and bottle totes which are famous for their durability, their small size when empty, and their insulation properties. Did you know that they also offer tons of other products laptop and tablet bags and sleeves, oven mitts, adorable lunch bags and sandwich bags for kids, and much more?

When I heard they were going to offer a brand new Baby Collection, I was both thrilled and intrigued to see what they were going to come up with. I knew these would become part of moms’ essential products very quickly! BuiltNY’s new baby collection has everything from a diaper bag to a changing pad to a pacifier holder and much more.

For this review, BuiltNY kindly provided me with their new Go-Go Diaper Tote in their super cute Mini Dot Black & White print (with bright fushia inside the bag) and their Baby Buddy Essentials Caddy in Dribble Dots Blue.

builtny diaper tote 2With two children under, every outing requires a well-packed diaper bag. I need a bag that is roomy, has lots of pockets, and can easily be cleaned (because messes happen!)  The Go-Go Diaper Tote has all these features and more! First of, because it is made of neoprene, it is very light. It is also a little stretchy which means you can fill it up without worrying about ripping it or tearing a seam. Neoprene is also very easy to care for: if it gets dirty, you can just wipe the dirt off with a damp cloth. The bag has been tested for FDA food safety, lead safety and phthalates and is PVC-free, BPA-free, and vinyl-free.

In terms of design, the bag has thick handles and a builtny diaper totepadded shoulder strap making it very comfortable to carry even when it’s heavy. There are also stroller attachment straps which are very handy and I also find them convenient to attach small items that you don’t want to dig for at the bottom of the bag (keys, baby’s favorite toy, etc.) There are 2 exterior bottle pockets of either side of the bag which can insulate bottles for up to 4 hours (depending on outside temperature). I personally like to store my nursing cover in one of these pockets so it’s always within easy reach. There is also a Velcro pocket on the front of the bag which is convenient to store my wallet and cell phone and 2 open pockets at the back for small toys, wipes, and other items that you need to keep handy.

Inside the bag, the main compartment is very roomy. I can fit more than enough cloth diapers and a wetbag with a few small toys or books and snacks. There are also 2 mesh pockets and 2 neoprene pockets. They are large enough to accommodate a change of clothes, a couple baby blankets, a bunch of cloth wipes and the changing pad that comes with the bag. This changing pad is also made of neoprene and matches the bag. It is oval and measures approximately 16 inches by 20 inches which isn’t very big but it works well for a young baby. There are seams that make is easy to fold and a Velcro strip so it stays nicely folded.

builtny caddyThe second product I received is the Baby Buddy Essentials Caddy. As a mom of 2, I have to say that diaper changes happen whenever, wherever. I don’t even have a change table so having this caddy has been really helpful to keep stuff organized. This caddy has a large compartment to fit diapers and I have to say I can even fit many soakers for our cloth diapers. I keep the shells in the outer pockets as well as cream and wipes. This caddy has a handle which makes it easy to carry around. Like the diaper tote, the neoprene is safe and easy to clean. I like how everything is accessible, no zippers or Velcro to fiddle with and how easy it is to bring it where I want even when I’m holding baby in my arms (whereas it would be awkward to carry soaker, shell, wipes, changing pad, and cream all in one hand). This caddy works well for diaper changing supplies but it could also be used to keep bath supplies organized or when baby is older, I could see it being used for craft supplies.

builtny caddy 2Overall, I love both products that I received from BuiltNY’s new baby collection. These products are well-designed, safe, durable, and last but not least, very trendy! I love that they are made of neoprene because it’s such a light and stretchy material and it’s super easy to clean, plus the insulation that it provides is a great bonus.

  • I LOVE that diaper bag! And that diaper caddy is genius – I constantly feel like I’m carrying all the necessities to change a diaper around the house. I never thought about a caddy. I just had a baby 3 weeks ago and I’m going to have to look into BuiltNY!

  • I love the caddy for having an extra set of things on a different floor in the house from where the changing table is. Thanks for the review!

  • I love Built in NY they fit so much stuff in them. The stretch is amazing and it really keeps your food cool. I am glad that they are now branching out to create a baby line. All of the products look so cute. I love them.
