With four children and another on the way, we’ve dealt with our fair share of teething pains and issues as well as having one child who is always on the go and can be slightly over-active (or in other words, LOUD!)  With baby #5 almost here, I know we’ll be going through teething woes and tantrums all over again.  I tend to lean towards non-invasive gentle methods of helping with these problems and that’s where Spark Of Amber came in.

The The Firefly Baltic Amber Nuggets Teething Necklace and The Seashore Baltic Amber Nuggets Teething Necklace.  These necklaces are lightweight and can be worn directly on the skin.  Our current youngest turned 2 in June and has been struggling with his eye-teeth coming in.  I can tell he is uncomfortable and definitely not himself lately and he constantly had his hands in his mouth, which is also unusual for him.  While he’s only been wearing his Baltic Amber Seashore Necklace for a few days, there was a noticeable improvement in his demeanor by day two.  Even though I can’t be certain the necklace caused the improvements, I am thrilled to see him smiling and playing like himself again.

Baltic Amber is greatly prized by Europeans for its many claims: natural anti-inflamatory, calming properties, and pain relief.  Oils are naturally released onto the skin from contact and these pieces are not made to be chewed or sucked on.  Based on this, the recommended age of use is 3 and up, however, I do allow our 2 year old to wear his necklace under my supervision.
