For many people, the holiday season reminds us to be giving. Yet, it can be an inconvenient time to try and give to charities because so many of us spend more money during the holidays than we do the rest of the year so we have less to give. As a result, I love finding sites like Bartley’s that let me buy items for the people (and pets) on my personal Christmas list while helping others in need.
Bartley’s donates money to help needy dogs with each purchase that is made on their website. They sell toys, treats, chews and other items for dogs. They select organic, made-in-the-us high quality items to sell so your dog gets a great gift while helping another dog. When your order arrives it will be in a gift bag with a special code. When you visit the Bartley’s website, you put in the code and it will bring up a picture and a story about the specific dog that your order helped. I love seeing the details because it reassures me that i’m really making a difference when I can see the exact dog I helped. Better yet, the items available at Bartley’s don’t feel like they are “marked up” just so that some of the profit can be funneled to the cuase. I feel like every item that we’ve received from Bartley’s is priced reasonably.
We found our all-time favorite dog toy (West Paw Designs Baby Salsa) at Bartley’s. So this time around we ordered a second one (as back up) and a second toy from the West Paw Designs brand. For Christmas, I ordered a deer antler chew for my mother in law’s dog which I know she’ll love. I know my dogs will appreciate their new toys and treats from Bartley’s that they’ll find in their stockings on Christmas morning.
