The older I get, the more I appreciate the little things in life. When I was younger, I found it somewhat cliche’ when people would say they just want to spend time with loved ones and have everyone get along. Now that I’m 40, I absolutely wholeheartedly agree with this sentiment! After losing a fellow Emily Reviews co-blogger (who also happened to be my cousin and close friend) earlier this year, I can say without a doubt that life is way too short. One of the top items on my Christmas wishlist this year was a new family canvas for our living room photo wall. A few years ago, I got some inspiration on Pinterest and found a neat way to display family lifestyle photos and posed portraits. I LOVE this wall and get so many compliments on it from visitors. And while I don’t mind the smaller prints being slightly outdated as it’s fun to see how the kids have grown over the years, I prefer to keep the big print up to date. Mixbook has gorgeous canvas prints so I updated my wall with their 36″ by 24″ custom canvas.
I was so excited the day these arrived and couldn’t wait to get them open. In addition to our large family portrait, I did also grab a small canvas of Ruby as I didn’t have any other photos of her on our wall yet.
The canvases came well packaged and arrived in perfect condition. The shipping box is thick and sturdy and the canvases are well protected along with additional plastic around the print on the inside too.
I also want to point out how gorgeous the edges of their canvases are. They feature a wrap style print so the photo actually continues around the outside border. This makes the canvas print look great from all angles.
All in all, I am absolutely thrilled with how our updated canvas additions look on our wall. I love Mixbook and would highly recommend you check them out for all your holiday needs. They even have a holiday gift guide to help provide you with gifting inspiration!
