I have a pet peeve of dull pencils. It drives me crazy when I have to write with one. Our son would often call me over to write down his spelling words so he could practice and almost always handed me a dull pencil. So when I found the Classroom Friendly Supplies Sharpener a couple years ago, I was thrilled to finally find a solution to this problem.
Classroom Friendly Supplies has created, what I have deemed to be, a necessity in every home and office. Before coming across their amazing sharpener, we went through several different styles from the local big box store and were left with nothing except disappointment and dull pencils. Classroom Friendly Supplies has changed all that and delivers high quality and performance pencil after pencil.
This sharpener is simple and easy to run. Upon unboxing, I had to insert the handle into the sharpener and we were ready to go. A clamp is included to attach the sharpener to a stable surface but we have found that our family prefers the freedom of grabbing and using it anywhere. With one hand steading on top of the sharpener, it can be used without the clamp.
This sharpener is so easy to run that even our 4 year old does it. I love that the sharpener pulls the pencil in as it sharpens and stops when the pencil is sharp. Time and time again, we have received perfectly sharpened pencils. Our first Classroom Friendly Supplies Sharpener is two years old and works just as good today as it did the day it arrived. It is also ultra quiet! You can hardly even hear when someone is using, which I love.
TIP: When sharpening colored pencils, stop before the sharpener does. Otherwise the lead breaks. This only seems to be the case with colored pencils as we have even been able to sharpen the cheap pencils in this sharpener with no issues.
This sharpener is definitely the best I’ve ever encountered. Not only does my family love it but when a fellow homeschool mom asked our big co-op for suggestions, every single answer with the exception of one was an enthusiastic Classroom Friendly Supplies! The only other suggestion was from a mother who had not yet tried this amazing sharpener. That fact alone speaks volumes to me.
