We live in Oregon. That means we typically have more rainy days throughout the year than we have dry days. So my daughters are stuck playing inside more than I would like. Often we need to get creative with indoor play ideas.
One item that helps us beat boredom is the Painting Teepee from Pacific Play Tents. When you have a play tent, doing everyday activities in it makes them magically come to life. All the sudden you aren’t just reading a book, coloring a picture, or telling a story; you are living that adventure through your imagination. Inside the Painting Teepee, your kids can voyage the raging seas, reach the top of Mt. Everest, camp in an enchanted forest or discover new land far far away! The possibilities are endless.
The Painting Teepee is a 64” tall teepee. It is constructed with four strong wooden poles and a durable canvas cover. The seams have been reinforced for extra strength. The teepee is easy to assemble and only took about 15 minutes. We actually set it up for the first time, the night before Easter and hid the girls Easter baskets in there. They were so excited!
The Painting Teepee comes with a paint kit that allows you to customize your canvas. We haven’t done this yet. As soon as we have a dry day, we will take the teepee outside and paint it. I will post about that in another review.
Moving the teepee is easy; it folds up and can be carried from room to room. Sometimes the girls set the teepee up in their playroom and use it like a reading nook. Other times it is set up in the front room to watch movies in. We also set it up outside and use it like a private fort. No matter where it is, they have fun with it!

Hello, my name is Laurie. My family and I live near the Oregon coast. When we aren’t at work, in school, or on the volleyball court, we enjoy traveling, cheering for our favorite sports teams, playing outdoors, and checking off items on our bucket list. We are lucky in that both sets of our parents, as well as our siblings and their families, live within an hour of us. We get together often to help one another out, celebrate milestones, and go on adventures together.
