Sleep….  It’s a precarious thing when you’re a parent.  I miss it.  I daydream about it.  Right now, I would just love to spend a night at the hotel with just my husband and I so we could both just S*L*E*E*P!  He gets up every morning at 3am and works hard all day long with only a catnap or two to get through.  While I really shouldn’t complain much because our youngest has slept fairly well ever since we discovered the Zipadee-Zip, lately, she thinks her bedtime shouldn’t be till 11 or 12 at night!  So even though she’s not crying, she’s loud enough to keep me up!  And even when she does decide to sleep, she still wakes once or twice a night to nurse.

Well, it seems that the day came a couple weeks ago where our daughter “outgrew” her magical Zippy.  She technically still fits in it but had discovered how to unzip and escape so it’s magical sleeping powers no longer seemed to be working for us.  So we have now upgraded to the Sleeping Baby Flying Squirrel.  The main difference that I can see from the Zipadee-Zip to the Flying Squirrel is that the Flying Squirrel design offers the option of flipping the sleeves and feet closed or leaving them open so the hands and feet are uncovered.

I chose the adorable Lots Of Love Flying Squirrel PJ for our daughter to try out.  I love the pretty pinks and light blues and who doesn’t love hearts!?!  The print itself is girly and fun and we really like it.

I ordered the 2t/3t size since our daughter will be turning 2 in September.  I fully expected her Flying Squirrel to be a bit large on her and it definitely is but because of the cuffs at the wrists and ankles, it still works great!  She is able to run, climb, jump, and do everything else she wants in her Flying Squirrel.

So even though it’s a sad day that our baby is growing up and no longer needs her Zippy, she seems to really like her Flying Squirrel and I’m hoping that this little Houdini will start falling asleep a little earlier now!
