When searching for toys for my kids, I love finding classics that never go out of style. It’s even more fun when someone puts a fun new twist on it too. So, throughout the year, I’m always on the lookout for awesome and unique toys that I can share with you that I think would be a hit. So today, that brings me to BRIO.

The classic Pull Along Dachshund has been a staple in the BRIO line up since 1953. So it’s no surprise that they decided to create a bigger and better version for those die-hard fans as well as the customers who are looking for that extra special gift. What makes this tag-a-long so much fun is the genius design that, as someone takes him for a walk by his string, the head and ears move while the tail wags! To our little ones, it’s almost like having a real dog. This retro toy encourages early walking and coordination as kiddos work to keep up with their pup and older kids get just as big a kick out of this awesome toy. So while too big to fit IN most Easter baskets, this fun dog would be amazing to find right next to one on Easter morning.
Next up, the Light And Sound Fire Engine is also a great choice to top those Easter Baskets this year. Kids will be able to race to the scene of danger to help rescue those in need. Whether putting out a fire or climbing a tree to save a cat, the wailing sirens and flashing lights will have kids hopping to help. This Fire Truck features soft plastic wheels, a retractable hose, and two ladders. The sirens and lights are activated by simply pushing the yellow button on the light bar.
Overall, I think BRIO did another amazing job with their newest toys. Both are geared for ages 18 months and up and offer loads of fun and encourage imaginative play. So what do you think? Do you have any kiddos who would enjoy finding one of these on Easter morning?

What a wonderful company! I had not heard of them before. I love that everything is not plastic and garish. Old world thought and quality are embodied here. What a great surprise. I too, like the bumble bee pull toy. (and many other things on their site!)
