Father’s Day is such an important day for my family. Teaching my children to thank, and appreciate all the hard work that their dad does, really warms my heart. I love to have the kids make my husband gifts with their own personal messages to him as he really cherishes those heartfelt words so much. While I do believe that its important to get a dad father related gifts I think it’s also important to honor who they are as an individual as well.

My husband has only recently had the time to really think about his own style and what he likes and dislikes. He’s decided to gauge his ears, try different hair cuts and I introduced him to watches. His first watch was a sort of test drive to see if he even liked the feel and look of them. I bought that first watch from china on amazon for about five dollars. He actually loved the simple design and the feel of it. It was about a month before that watch broke (you get what ya pay for). We decided to replace that watch with another cheap one in hopes that it might have been a bad batch. We were wrong the watches just weren’t good quality. The next watch I got him was a bracelet style leather watch, he really liked it. I began to consider a jewelers watch from a local jeweler. My apprehension to purchasing one was they were a bit too flashy, a bit heavy and not quite his style. When I found wooden watches from Tree Hut I knew they’d be a perfect fit.

These watches are literally one of a kind. I chose the Zebrawood and Ebony watch for my husband for Father’s Day this year. The Zebrawood is actually the same wood used to make his wedding band, so choosing this species of wood was a no brainer for me. The beautiful grain pattern and color of the wood is so exquisite. The bright green second hand is just the right amount of pop to add a special little eye catching feature. With high quality Japanese quartz movement, there is no need to worry about whether this watch will provide quality for a very long time.

The watch is a try fold clasp closure with push buttons, and was a tad on the large size for my husbands wrist. We took it to our local jeweler to have him take a few links out with no issue at all. I really love the way this watch looks on my husband. No matter if we are going on a date night or just hanging around the house, the watch fits perfectly with his style. My husband’s favorite part about these watches is that they are incredibly detailed but so minimal as a whole.  My husband often working with his hands at home as well as his job and he really appreciates the lightweight nature of this wooden watch.

My husband has only owned one pair of sunglasses ever. He has never felt the need to wear them and has had a hard time finding the right shape and fit for his face.
