As most of you know, I’m 18. For the past year or so, on occasion, perhaps once or twice a month, I’d wake up with a puffy face. However, within a couple of hours my face would be totally back to normal. I didn’t think much of this, and just ignored it.

Then about two weeks ago I woke up and my face was puffy, but seemed puffier than usual. Puffy to the point that I had a ‘roll’ of puffiness that was my upper eyelid, as well as a roll of puffiness under my eye. Although it slightly went down throughout the day, it was still not normal by bedtime. The next morning, I woke up just as puffy as the morning before. This has been going on for about two weeks now. I even have a ‘wrinkle’ under my eyes, starting near the edges of my nose, running under each eye, where the skin creases because of the puffins. The puffiness has been there so long that now when I pull my skin back to flatten the puffiness, there’s a red crease where the skin has been creased for so long.

I’ve been told by a couple of people that I should start using a face tightening mask or else a wrinkle cream, or both. I was curious if anyone had suggestions for products that have worked well for them? There is such a huge variety of both face masks and wrinkle creams that it’s just overwhelming.

If possible, I’d like something I could use at night that would prevent or help stop the puffiness from coming, becuase I love my sleep and I usually wake up half an hour or less before I go to school, and I don’t like having to go to school puffy all the time, and I don’t really have time to decrease the puffiness in the morning.

Also, I’ve read that puffy faces in the morning is often a result of either dehydration or a sign that you are consuming too much salt. I have a weakness for ramen noodles, which of course are really high in salt. However, other than noodles which I eat 2-3 times a week, I barely take in any salt. Also, I intentionally drank a TON of water one day, and the next morning when I woke up I seemed even puffier than I had the past few days. So I don’t think it’s from dehydration either.

any suggestions would be great 🙂

Or even if you haven’t tried a product but know of products that have free samples I could try out before committing to a full price product, that’d be great too!
