Nature’s Gate is a company that sells certified organic body care products. When I saw that they offer an acne treatment kit, I was very interested. I’ll try to keep my life story short but, I feel like I need to explain my acne background for you to understand fully.
I started getting acne young, when I was 10 or 11. I tried many acne care products from then until age 14 or so. Literally every month or so I would give up on the last product I tried that wasn’t working, and go to the store, find a product I haddn’t used yet, and try it for a few weeks until it proved to not work. This literally went on for a few years straight. Then, magically I found something that (mostly) worked for me. I fell in love, and used it daily for about 3.5 years, from age 14-17.5 or so. Then, about a year ago (when I was approximately 17.5) I noticed that my acne was getting worse, even though I hadn’t made any chances in my lifestyle. I was still using the same acne wash, still using the same haircare, skincare products, I haddn’t changed any in terms of my weight, so I began again, trying out new acne products in hopes that something would work. Again, I tried product after product but nothing seemed to work.
Then I stumbled upon Nature’s Gate and decided I’d see if they were interested in having me test out their acne products. I had never tried an acne kit that was organic, and to be honest I was a bit skeptical. However, when the package arrived a few weeks ago I started using it twice daily like suggested, and it worked well but it made my face feel dry, so I cut back to once a day like it suggests to do if it is drying for your skin. For the last two weeks or so I have been using it once daily, and although I can’t say that I have no acne at all, it’s definitely better, and is doing as good of a job as the product that I used for a few years straight did, that I was happy with. So I am pleased with this kit and would suggest trying it to anyone who has had trouble finding something that works. It’s a 3 step process but it’s really easy to do. The first bottle you rub in your hands and mix with water, and then rub all over your face, and rinse and blot your face dry. Then the second bottle you use on a cotton ball and swipe over your face, and the last one is a cream that you rub in. So it’s a very quick and easy system. It’s not nearly as overpowering as products that I have used in the past. I hate when a product makes your face burn or you have to hold your breath for a few seconds until the worst of the smell goes away. This kit doesn’t burn, but still gives you the “hey i’m working” feeling, which I really liked. Plus it’s so nice to know that what i’m using is organic! My one and only gripe is that it is very strong tasting, and I never before realize that I did this, but I learned that I have a habit of folding my lips into my mouth and just kind of pushing them together, for some reason. When I do this after having used the acne kit products, I get a really bad taste in my mouth, and I’ve also tasted the same thing a couple of times while drinking after having used the product.
