If you haven’t heard about the ultimate blog party yet, you should head on over to 5 minutes for mom and check it out. Basically, it’s a huge party for anyone who wants to join in, who has a blog. You make a post and then go around to other people who have posted and get to meet new blogger friends. Plus, there’s lots of awesome prizes being given away.

I love to talk about myself, but surprisingly I don’t think I’ve done a plain old ‘about me’ type post yet, so this will be the first. I don’t post enough pictures but I’m trying to work on that. 🙂

My name is Emily but most of the time I go by Emmy. I’m 18 and am ending my freshman year in college. I know I’m young compared to most bloggers, but I feel like I do a pretty good job of keeping my blog going and I offer somewhat of a unique view because of my age, seems how most review bloggers are young moms with little kids.


I have been with my boyfriend, Ryan, for about a week short of 2.5 years, meaning I was just past 16 when we got together. We have lived together for quite a while now, and although he’s got a few years of age on me but we are very happy together. In the above picture his beard is a little crazy, sometimes it gets crazy and othertimes it’s much thinner but he always has a beard. I used that picture because it’s the most recent, but his beard isn’t so long now. We are getting our pictures taken by our friend who is starting up a photography business, in the morning so I’ll post with the new, better pictures of us soon. The picture below is old but it’s my favorite picture of us ever – it’s from my junior prom.

We enjoy being nerds, and our mutual interests include video games, computer games, sleeping, politics, comedy, and coming up with random ‘adventures’ to pass our time. Like following the train tracks until we end up in the next city, 4 hours later.

I enjoy talking, making monsters, sewing, babysitting, rock music, going to yard sales and thrift stores, and my blog.

My boyfriends interests include computers (he is a+ certified and is a computer science major, who is always working on fixing some persons computer, but he enjoys it), he likes anything technology related and all kinds of little gadgets. He likes to make videos with his friends and watches a lot of documentaries.

Although I’m not a mom myself, and don’t plan to be for another five years or so at least, I do a lot of children’s product reviews because I adore children and have tons of them in my life. I have twelve siblings. Some are step, others are half, one is full and one is adopted, but yes, twelve! Other than my adopted sister who is only six, I am the youngest. Meaning, I have 11 siblings who are older than me, who range from 21-43 or so, which results in LOTS of nieces and nephews, to love, adore and review products for :).
