From the smellywasher website
“Smelly Washer Cleaner is the only all natural washing machine cleaner available. One bottle has 24 treatments compared to 1-3 for competitors. Save money on appliance repair bills by safely and easily cleaning your dirty clothes washer yourself. Remove stinky mildew odor from any front or top loading washer. Just a cap of Smelly Washer in a hot cycle and let your washer clean itself!”
I got the opportunity to work with smelly washer for a review. Smellywasher.com has two products, smelly washer and smelly towel. To be totally honest I thought I was being sent smelly towel, but somehow there was a mix up and I got smelly washer instead. However, I went ahead with the review even though I haven’t had any issues with our washer smelling, it can’t hurt to use a washer cleaner now and then anyway, right?
As I mentioned, my washer didn’t have odors or any mildew or fungus ahead of time so I can’t say for sure that it worked but it’s nice to have the peace of mind anyway. Smellywasher is all natural which is nice, I like to avoid harsh chemicals whenever possible. So if you have a stinky washing machine and are looking for an all natural cleaner, this is the place to go.
I have read others’ reviews that say that if you use smellywasher with towels it doubles as a solution for the mildue smell that seems to stay in towels. I haven’t tried this because I haven’t had this issue with my towels recently, however I’m sure at some point we have all forgotten to change the load of towels from the washer to the dryer for too long and then it takes four or five washes for that smell to finally go away. So I’ll definitely try that the next time I forget our towels in the washer, haha.
