Simple Green Natural Line

Simple Green Natural Line

I was given the opportunity to review an assortment of products from simple green,  from their ‘naturals’ line and was thrilled to test out their cleaning abilities. To make things easier I’m going to just go product by product :). I was sent the entire naturals line except for their diluteable concentrated cleaner.

One item I received was their liquid hand soap. The soap is Herb garden scented and reminds me of some types of tea leaves. The hand soap seems to work great, it doesn’t dry out my hands yet feels like it works well. It doesn’t make tons of bubbles, but I have learned from other natural cleaning products that laundry detergents and other types of soap from big companies are often tampered with to create extra bubbles because people associate bubbles with how well it works, when that’s not necessarily the case at all. So the lack of bubbles didn’t concern me.

I also received their dish washing liquid which is fresh squeezed citrus scented. I’m not a huge fan of the scent but oh well. It too didn’t seem to bubble a ton but as stated above that didn’t concern me much. I have used this on greasy dishes and it seemed to cut through the grease fine.

I also received their Glass and surface care. I have only used this on glass so far but it worked well. I am not really sure which other surfaces this is intended to be used on, it doesn’t suggest anything other than in a few photos which show a mirror as an alternative surface to glass.

I also received their multi surface care. I love multi surface cleaners because they are so useful. I’ve used this on just about everything by now. Including a plastic booster seat, counter tops, the stove, etc. It seems to work alright on most everything except it didn’t help me a lot on the stove. However, messes on the stove can be pretty tough so that’s pretty understandable.

I also received their floor care. I don’t have any wooden floors so I’ve only used this on linoleum so far. It worked pretty well but required a lot of scrubbing because our linoleum is very textured. But, this would happen with any cleaner seems how there are so many tiny indents from the texture of our linoleum.

I also received their bathroom cleaner. This worked well on my toilet, and alright on my tub. However, because my roommate works in a steel factory, and brings in a lot of black dust, the tub I tried using it on is pretty stained. The first time I used it on the tub it seemed to take away at least 1/3 of the stain, but I tried reusing it just an hour or so later, and it seemed to do little more to help erase the stain. However, it is VERY heavily stained from the steel dust which is probably uncommon for most peoples tubs. It worked really well on both bathroom and kitchen sinks here.

I also received their carpet care. This product impressed me the most. As I mentioned above, my roommate works in a steel factory and brings home lots of black dust. A few parts of our light tan carpet were very heavily stained. This carpet cleaner worked really well on the stain! It took away at least 75% of the stain, and in some areas the carpet was nearly all black. I was really impressed with this.

Also, a few things that I love about all of the simple green natural’s products are they are made in the USA and aren’t tested on animals! Their product containers are 100% recyclable and their labels are printed with soy ink. I also love how their products state that if you find their products to be defective you can get a refund.
