If you’ve been following my blog for very long then you know I’m a huge fan or aurora. Aurora makes a huge variety of toys, and everything I’ve seen of theirs has been great quality and has been accepted well by children. Around six months ago I did my first aurora review, of their yoo hoo and friends stuffed toys, and my niece still drags them around pretty regularly. Definitely a sign of a great toy if it keeps a 3 year olds interest for 6 months! Today I get to feature two items. The first is fancy pals, which are a line of toys from aurora that are little purses that come with an animal inside. My sister is 7 and all about anything girly or fashionable. She has twice as many purses as I do and often puts her stuffed animals in them to carry them around. I love how aurora realized how much of a trend this is and made a toy that allows the pet to fit perfectly to the purse because they are made for each other. I also love how many of the purses include pets besides just dogs, they have cats, horses, an elephant, a unicorn and others. I love how the purse is a good size for little girls to use even without the pets, because I’ve noticed my little sister often uses this purse without the dog inside just for trips to wal mart or wherever we may be headed.

I was also sent a paws puppet for review. I think this is really neat! It is exactly what it sounds like, a puppet that is a paw. I received the tiger puppet, and although it seems like a pretty basic concept this toy has gotten a lot of use. If you have a child who likes to pretend to be animals or pretend play at all this is a great gift idea. The paw has ‘claws’ that come off of the puppet which adds a lot to the toy. The puppet is really big, covering the majority of a toddlers arm, and the hand area of the puppet is really big, easily fitting in even a man’s hand. The puppet being oversized makes it more fun for young children, as it isn’t just a glove, it’s a whole arm being transformed into a tiger. It also allows for mom and dad to join in the game and become tigers right back. This has encouraged a lot of back and forth ‘rawrrrr!’s and chasing and tickling! I would love to have more of these, so that we have one puppet for each hand and other animal paws so that we can all get in on the playing.
