I’m not sure if it’s because I’m still young, or if it’s simply part of my inner child that will never fully go away. But when I first found myself on the squishable website and my eyes landed on their incredibly adorable super puffy stuffed animals, every cell in my body screamed “I NEED ONE!” I’m not sure how anyone could resist a 15 inch puffy stuffed animal? So, I was incredibly excited to get accepted for this review. That, however meant I had to choose which one I wanted. It came down to the squishable hedgehog or the narwhal.

As I have a pet hedgehog of my own, all hedgehogs pull on my heartstrings a bit. However, I have other hedgehog stuffed toys and knicknacks, so I finally decided on the narwhal. I’ve loved narwhals ever since I first heard the incredibly catchy youtube video about narwhals, and the few minutes afterwards when I googled narwhal and realized that they are a real animal. I was hooked. When my squishable narwhal arrived, he was in a huge box and was fully fluffed (not vacuum sealed). I was impressed with how silky smooth his “fur” is. I was also a bit surprised at how big he is in person.

He’s a regular sized squishable, and he is the most huggable stuffed animal I’ve ever seen. It’s almost impossible to see him and not give him a squeeze. In addition to regular squishables, they also make miniature ones that are about seven inches, and huge ones called squishable massive’s which are 24 inches – that’s big enough to use like a bean bag chair! Plus now they have micro-mini’s which are keychain size. I My squishable is similar in feeling to a nice baby blanket and is lots of fun to hug or rest on. He’s so puffy that he’s a bit too tall to comfortably use as a pillow, but he’s great to snuggle with. His horn sticks out nicely but isn’t stiff so it doesn’t hurt if you lay with him or cuddle with him and his horn gets in the way. There are tons of squishable designs to choose from including a fox, a lion, shark and more. They would make a great gift for the child, teen or kid-at-heart grown up on your list.
