DaniJoDesigns is an Etsy shop that offers felt toys for toddlers and kids. My nephew Drew turned 2 this fall and is a very active, high energy little guy but he has really enjoyed setting down with his DaniJo Designs felt items to play. He’s working on learning his colors but the only color that is knows 100% of the time is orange. I’ve been able to use these felt toys as educational tools by saying things like “can you find me an something orange?” and he’ll find an orange item. He doesn’t know other colors but he knows that they are not orange so I’ll pick up a purple piece and say “is this orange?” and he will grin and excitedly say NO. I reply “no it’s not orange, it’s purple!” which helps him put a label to the other colors while in his mind he’s not learning he’s just playing a silly game which is the best way for toddlers to learn. My 4 and 6 year old nephews have also enjoyed playing with these which is great because they can aid in learning to recognize letters and to spell. I was surprised that my 9 year old sister even got in on the fun one day and was seeing what words and sentences she could write out with these. I think they’re great open ended toys that have a major bonus of being really quiet! Full review coming soon.

The JumpSport iBounceTrampoline is great for toddlers ages 2+ and has a weight limit of 75lbs so many kids older than age 5 will be well within the weight limit and can still enjoy the ibounce. If you have an active toddler and live in an area where winters are too cold to spend tons of time outside, you’ll appreciate how the Jumpsport Ibounce lets your child spend their energy inside. It comes with DVDs of a Kangaroo that can be played in a regular TV or can be played in a tablet that attaches to the handlebars of the ibounce. My 2 year old nephew has enjoyed jumping on this almost daily since he got it and I love that he’s not so wound up with energy from being stuck inside. If you’re interested, you can check out the full Jumpsport Ibounce review.

If you have a mom on your list who likes to carry her baby or toddler (or a baby or toddler who likes to be carried) the Kowalli Baby Carrier Cover is a great gift idea for them. It’s universal meaning it’s designed to fit over whichever carrier or sling you choose to use and it’s designed to repell rain, snow and wind so you can feel comfortable staying active outside in the winter while keeping your little one warm and cozy. It comes in five different color combinations, most of which are gender neutral so you can use it with multiple babies even if you have sons and daughters and get more bang for your buck. The color options also help dad feel comfortable carrying baby. It can be used whether you wear your baby in front, back and whether they face in or out! Our full Kowalli review is coming soon.

International Playthings is an online store that has tons of great toys for kids that are not just fun but also educational. Rachel reviewed the Playful Pals Piano and Fairy Treehouse. The piano is for ages 2+ and is brightly colored to grab your little ones attention. Across the top it has animals that move when the piano is played. Children can play their own song with the keys or there are other buttons to press that play an entire song. The fairy treehouse is for ages 18+ months and includes 3 people, 2 chairs, a table and a fruitbasket. You can check out the full International Playthings Review.

WonderForge is a company that specalizes in games for young children. Their games feature characters that your kids love such as Chuggington, DC super friends, Curious George and others. While they make games for all ages, they offer an awesome selection of games for pre-readers which I love because it can be a bit boring to keep playing the same two or three board games that most families have for pre-readers. WonderForge aims to let all children feel independent and capable and their games that are aimed at preschoolers do just that. Check out our Wonderforge Games Review.

Nohi Kids is a clothing company that focuses on bright, whimsical clothing for babies and children up through size 8. They have clothing for girls and boys. Their boy clothing is bright – coming in bright green, red, blue and others. Their clothing includes designs that boys like such as motorcycles and inosaurs, but not in the typical cartoon-like style. Nohi does a nice job of combining designs that parents and kids will both enjoy. Check out our Nohi Kids Review from 2012 and our 2011 Nohi Kids Review as well.

If you’re looking for a gift idea for boys that isn’t just traditional toys and clothing – Noodlehead has a few unique options. My favorite gift idea from Noodlehead is their adventure log. My nephew Luke is 6 and is reading and writing but of course is in the early stages so anything that combines fun play for him and reading or writing practice at the same time is awesome and the noodlehead adventure log does just that. It includes a notepad with tracing paper, measuring tape, sharpener and eraser, magnifying glass, colored pencils, a regular pencil and more all inside of a case that is easy to carry. For kids who can’t write yet, they can enjoy using this set to draw or color while older kids can take notes or write stories. Check out my full Noodlehead Review.

The good ones is a company that focuses just on boys! Moms of boys know how rare it is to find clothing companies just for boys. They are full of great detail such as their Roadtrip Hoodie which includes thumb holes in the sleeves, a bike reflector and inner accessory pockets. I love clothing that has so many tiny details like this worked out because it shows how much thought and care goes into the design which almost always also means the entire product will be high quality. This is definitely true for the clothing from the good ones. Check out our The Good Ones review and enter the giveaway that runs through 12/9.

Nuvonivo offers boys clothing for sizes birth through 8 years. Most of their clothing seems to combine modern preppy styles such as polo or button down shirts with cheerful colors like green or red. This allows for the style to come off as grown up and mature based on the style but child-like based on the colors. You can shop by collection to find clothing that matches while still being unique. If you have multiple children you could order different outfits from the same collection to make for great outfits that compliment each other without actual being identical which would make for great photos. Check out our October Nuvonivo Kids Review and our December Novonivo Clothing Review. PS – our December review has a $50 gift card giveaway attached to it that ends 12/10.

Mortimer Snodgrass is a store located in Montreal, Canada and they have an online website that you can shop from as well. The store covers lots of different products from water bottles to handbags to toys. Rachel reviewed this Automoblox toy car which is unique from most toy cars just by it’s overall appearance but also because it opens up and has 4 people inside that can come out to be played with. You can check out the full Mortimer Snograss Review.

As I mentioned above, Nuvonivo offers adorable clothing for boys but they also have lots of clothing for girls. Their girls department ranges from newborn up through Junior girls sizes. Their clothing has a lot of unique flare that makes them stand out from other clothing. While pink and ruffles might not be something new for baby girl clothing, I adore the “bubble” hem, how the ruffle is located and the combination of polka dots with wavy hems on the right collarbone area and on each wrist. The small details really make this top and that’s true of so many of the other girls items at Nuvonivo. Check out our October Nuvonivo Review and our December Nuvonivo review which has a $50 gift card giveaway attatched that ends 12/10.

Pawparazzi toys have been a favorite of my sisters for three years or so now and my niece has recently fallen in love with them as well. They are small plush cats and dogs that come inside of little purses with outfits and other accessories. My little sister likes them because she can pretend they are her real pets that she can carry in a purse and because she can swap out their clothing and accessories (she loves fashion). My niece likes them because she just has a genuine love of cats and dogs and likes to pretend that they are her real life teeny tiny puppy. Check out my 2012 Pawparazzi Review and my 2010 Pawparazzi Toy review.

Piggy Paint works great as a gift for girls or as a stocking stuffer either way. They offer brightly colored nail polish that little girls will love without all of the yucky chemicals that come in standard nail polish. They even make nail polish remover that doesn’t have the yucky chemicals. What’s even better is when you apply the polish it has a similar consistency to “regular” polish so it goes on easy and smooth without being watery. Basically, you give up the yucky chemicals but you don’t have to compromise quality at all. View our Piggy Paint Nail Polish Review.

Charm it! Is another company whose products would work well as a gift or a stocking stuffer. Their main product line is link bracelets and charms that include items like Disney characters, cute animals, ballet slippers and more. Of course, the charms selected can be based off of your child’s interest and you can buy a few at a time to keep adding to the bracelet over time, making the bracelet truly unique for your child. Some of the bracelets come partially pre-filled with items like cupcakes or peace signs while others are just plain. They also offer necklaces and gift sets. If you go to see our Charm it! Review be sure to enter the giveaway while you’re there. It ends 12/14.
