Finding a new place to live is a big decision for anyone, but as someone who is frugally minded, and who wants to stick to a budget, it’s even more work. When I look for a place to live, my top priority is making sure that I understand what costs will be involved, and it’s not all about rent. Sure, one apartment might have lower rent, but if that rent doesn’t include utilities, and the other, more expensive-rent apartment does, it might be more expensive overall.

Trying to compare each place to every other place can be quite a big task if you’re searching a newspaper or each apartments own website.

apartments.com is a site that compiles information about tons of different apartments so that you can compare your options in a much more convenient way. It’s easy to navigate and you can even access apartments.com from a mobile app.

I browse around apartments.com and all I had to do to find apartments in my area was put in my zip code to get searching. If you want, you can also put in how many bedrooms you need, how many bathrooms you need and your maximum rent limit to further narrow down your search results. The available places had photographs of the rooms in the apartment, information about nearby locations or attractions, information on how many square feet of living space there was, and the address. It also had a phone number available so if I were interested I could call to talk to someone about viewing the property.

Next time that you are apartment hunting, considering using Apartments.com to find an apartment in your area. You can follow @aptscom to keep up with the site as well.
