*I was sent a free copy of Princess Cupcake Jones and the Missing Tutu in exchange for this review.

As you probably know by know Little C loves books.  He has his favorite books, but he will listen to any book that is read to him which I think is great.  He is not a kid that chooses a book by its cover.  He is willing to give anything a chance.  I didn’t pick this particular book out to review, but I was sent Princess Cupcake Jones and the Missing Tutu for review.  I was a little worried when I opened the package and saw the cover of the book.  My first thought was; this is a girl book and I don’t have a girl that will enjoy it.  I figured I would just read it to myself and let you guys know my opinion of the book.  Well, I was wrong.  Little C did say, “That’s a girl book.”  However, when I sat down to read it Little C cuddled up next to me and wanted to hear what this “girl” book was about.  At the age of 4, almost 5, he is curious about everything.  Now, with all of that being said you are probably curious about this book.

Princess Cupcake Jones and the Missing Tutu is about this little princess who doesn’t like to wear frilly dresses.  She only likes to wear her tutu.  She wears it when she is out hunting bugs, doing cartwheels around the palace or even when she is riding her horse.  She absolutely loves her tutu.  The day of family pictures Cupcake Jones wakes up and discovers that her tutu is missing.  Where could it have gone?  Did someone steal it?  She begins to search for her tutu by means of cleaning up her mess.  While she is searching and cleaning she finds many other toys that had been lost, but you will have to read the rest to find out if she found her tutu!

Princess Cupcake Jones and the Missing Tutu is one of the cutest children’s books I have read in a long time and I absolutely loved that Little C could relate.  He definitely has a favorite shirt that he loves to wear and he absolutely can’t live without his blanket.  He has misplaced his blanket several times and we have had several meltdowns over it.  He has learned to keep his room clean and his blanket is typically a little easier to find.  I believe Cupcake Jones learned the same lesson in this story.

Even though we don’t have a little girl in the family right now, I am pregnant and we will find out what we are having at the end of June or early July.  I told Little C that if we have a girl this would be a great book for her.  He looked at me and said, “But Mommy, will you still read it to me?”  If that isn’t a great testimonial to how cute this book is, I don’t know what is.

The pictures are brilliant and bright with color.  Little C loved them!  This superb book will be out in July for you to enjoy with your little one!  I believe it will be a book that is read several times.  While you are waiting for the release of this book make sure to check Princess Cupcake Jones and the Missing Tutu out on Facebook.
