Thank you Bébé Au Lait
for providing me with products to review, free of charge.
These are my own honest opinions.

Breastfeeding has been a part of my life for a little over 20 months with my daughter. She is now weaned but I’m about to start another breastfeeding adventure with Baby no.2. I never considered breastfeeding an obstacle that prevented me from doing whatever I wanted. I breastfed anywhere: at restaurants, at the park, at the mall, even in planes!

bébé au lait logoI was never really shy about it but I don’t like people staring so when I was out in public, I always brought a nursing cover. When Baby no.2’s imminent arrival, I decided to look for a nicer, more fashionable nursing cover. Bébé Au Lait has some of the most gorgeous nursing covers (as well burp cloths, towels, blankets and more) I’ve seen and I was super excited to get one for review.

Actually, I didn’t just get a beautiful nursing cover, I received a gift set which includes a nursing cover and 3 matching burp cloths. Those are definitely basics that any new mom would love!

I chose the gorgeous Pasadena print. It’s a modern slate grey color with an abstract rose pattern. I like that the print is attractive yet not too bold. My old nursing cover has a busy print on it and my daughter would always get distracted by it even if she only saw it from underneath. This shouldn’t be a problem with my new Bébé Au Lait nursing cover.

It is made of 100% cotton, is machine washable and is generously sized (26” x 36”). Because of its size, it’s easy to tuck the top corners under your arms for maximum privacy and minimum distraction for your baby. The neck strap is adjustable with a d-ring. You only have to adjust it once and it’ll stay in position. There is a RigiFlex™ neckline that keeps the top of the nursing cover away from your body which allows you to see baby and provides good ventilation.

My favorite feature of this nursing cover is the 2 pockets. They are on the inside of the cover, on either lower corners and are made of terrycloth. They are so convenient to hide paper tissues, nursing pads, pacifiers, or other small items. The thick terrycloth also ads a bit of weight to the nursing cover which helps keep it in place, especially if you’re outside and it’s windy.

The burp cloths are made of the same soft terrycloth fabric. They have 2 layers, are very absorbent and are machine washable. They measure approximately 17” x 6” and can be used a burp cloths and washcloths as well. I love the beautiful piping and details that match the nursing cover.

bébé au lait towel 3

bébé au lait towel 2For this review, I also received an adorable hooded towel for my daughter. It’s made of soft and absorbent 100% cotton white terrycloth. It measures approximately 27” x 36” so it easy to wrap a baby but it also fit nicely on my toddler. The trim all around the towel as well as the hood is very cute. It is pale blue like the sky and is covered in white clouds and hot air balloons in coral, peach, grape and gray.

What I like the most about this towel is that the hood is an actual one, not just a triangular piece of fabric sewn in a corner of the towel. It fits really well, keeps her head warm, and makes drying my daughter’s hair very easy.

Overall, I like the design and high quality of Bébé Au Lait’s products. I’m happy to have found a company that takes basics like nursing covers, burp cloths, and hooded towels and turns them into chic and stylish products.
