By now, it seems like almost all of us have smartphones. Whether you’re an adult, or a teen. I’ve even seen kids in elementary schools with smartphones! There are lots of games, and app for smartphones, but almost all of them are individual games that you play by yourself. There are very few social games to play with your phone. However, with Codigo Cube, you can play a game on your phone with your friends, or your family! Codigo Cube is a trivia game that you play using the cube provided, and a smart phone. You can play by yourself, or with any number of players. I was very happy to be able to review the Codigo Cube line.

I received the original Codigo Cube trivia, and the new additions to the Codigo Cube line, Entertainment Trivia, Sports Trivia, RPG Fantasy Trivia, Teen Trivia, and Kidz Trivia.
The Codigo Cube Trivia Game is really easy to play. You just have to download a QR code reader app for your phone, if you don’t already have one. They have a recommended one on the box, or there are plenty of free ones at the Play Store, or App Store.
Once you have a QR reader, you use the reader to scan one of the QR codes on the cube. This will make the game pop up on your phone, and you can begin! It doesn’t take long at all to get a game going. You just pick the number of players, and the type of play you would like. You basically decide whether you want categories selected randomly, or if you’d like to select the categories yourself. You also can select the difficulty level for each player individually which is really nice. The difficulties range from easy to hard, so anyone of any age range can play.
The Codigo Cube itself is nice and small. It’s a little larger than a normal die, but not too big to make it difficult to carry around. I have a very small purse, but I was able to fit mine into it just fine.
I really like the new additions to the Codigo Cube Trivia Game line. Sometimes it’s a lot of fun to do trivia of a specific category. I personally liked the Codigo Cube Entertainment Trivia the best. The set up is the same for the original trivia game, but the categories are different. Some categories include Movies, TV, and Celebrity Gossip. With the new line, now you can pick a Codigo Cube for just about anyone. The Sports edition would be great for a Sports buff.
The Teen and Kids editions are also really nice. They’re catered toward Kids and Teens to play, but since you can set the difficulty level for each player, adults can play along as well. It’s not only a fun game for a kid to play on their smart phone, it’s also interactive, social, and educational.
The Codigo Cube works best on iPhones, iPads, iTouch, but also works on smartphones running Android 2.2 or higher, with a 3 or higher megapixel camera. Most smartphones nowadays fit those requirements. You also need internet connection, or WiFi. I used the Codigo Cube on my Samsung Galaxy S2, running Android 4.2.2, with an 8 megapixel camera. I needed to have decent lighting to get the QR codes to scan, and I had to hold my camera back a bit further when scanning the codes than I thought I would have to. If you have any trouble scanning the codes, that’s what I would recommend trying, just hold the camera back a bit further.
The one thing I like best about the Codigo Cube Trivia games is that you never get the same question twice, and they’re always updating and adding new questions. This is unlike almost any other trivia game, where if you play it too much, you end up getting the same questions. With the Codigo Cube, you can never play it too much!
Overall, I really like the Codigo Cube Trivia Smartphone Game. It’s fun to play by yourself, or with people. It’s educational, and now even more fun with the different versions. The Codigo Cube would make a great stocking stuffer for anyone that enjoys trivia, and loves their smart phone.

They are coming out with such neat stuff for smart phones! Social games sound like a lot of fun because they keep real people interacting with each other.
