for providing me with products to review, free of charge.
These are my own honest opinions.

How do you carry your wallet, your valuables, and important documents when you are out and about and when you are traveling? I used to just put my passport and wallet in my purse, thinking that it was not very safe but no worse than any other options. Turns out I was totally wrong: Pacsafe does provide tons of safe options to carry your precious belongings, from wallet to passport to laptops and more.

pacsafe logoHere is what makes Pacsafe products safe and secure:

  • eXomesh® slashguards – This is a special wire mesh that makes a bag slashproof. If someone tried to slash your bag, the fabric would tear but your belongings would remain inaccessible inside the mesh. It can either be placed externally over a bag, or it can laminated directly between the fabric layers.
  • Slashproof backpack Carrysafe® strap – Straps are designed with stainless stell wire inside of them. It can’t be seen but will prevent anyone from slicing through them to steal your bag.
  • Smart zipper security™ – The zippers also have stainless steel wire integrated in them. You can slide them down and clip them to a concealed clip making it very difficult to unzip them without you noticing.
  • Turn & lock security hook™ – At the end of straps, you’ll find a special hook that can be locked by turning the plastic cover over it. You can lock your bag securely onto something (tree, park bench, restaurant table, etc) and a thief won’t be able to snatch your bag.
  • RFIDsafe™ blocking pocket – Pacsafe uses a special material for pockets or wallets that blocks unwanted RFID readers which could potentially steal your credit card and passport information (if they have a micro chip on them).

You might remember my previous review of Pacsafe products where I received a gorgeous bright blue travel pack (by far my favorite back pack ever by the way!) This time, Pacsafe offered me 2 products: the Metrosafe 200 GII and the Venturesafe 150 GII.

pacsafe metrosafe 1The Metrosafe 200 GII is a well-designed shoulder bag. It of course has all the anti-theft features mentioned above. It comes in 5 different colors: black, cool steel, jungle green, midnight blue, and tweed grey. Mine is tweed grey and I love the contrast of classic fabric with the modern design. It is a good size and can accomodate an iPad or tablet. The shoulder strap is easily adjustable and large enough to be comfortable on the shoulder.

In terms of storage, this bag has a large zippered compartment with an internal division and a key ring. In front, the flap stays in place with 2 Velcros. Underneath is another zippered compartment with many divisions to store smaller items such as cell phone and MP3 player. There is also a small hook, as well as an RFID-safe pocket. They designed this bag with a small opening for headphone cord so your MP3 player can safely stay in your bag while you listen to your favorite music. On either side of the bag you’ll find a bottle holder which, by the way, is also great for a small umbrella. I love that the bottle holders can be neatly folded up and held in place with a snap when you don’t need them. There is also one last large zippered pocket at the back of the bag. I love to use this bag as an every day purse. It fits my wallet, cell phone, a water bottle and all my other little essentials with room to spare!

The Venturesafe 150 GII is a great cross body pack. Like the Metrosafe, it also has all the anti-theft features mentioned above. The strap is large and the part that rests on the shoulder is padded for comfort. It is easily adjustable and has a large buckle (with a safely push button). The back of the bag is also padded for comfort. It comes in 4 colors: black, sunset red (orange and burnt orange), beach grey, and storm grey. I received the Sunset Red and let me tell you, it’s definitely a color that stands out! It’s bright and vibrant.

In terms of size, it’s a narrow bag so it won’t fit an iPad but it’s still big enough to fit 2 16.9 oz water bottles (500ml). This bag has one main zippered compartment with an RFID-safe pocket, a key ring, and a large zippered pocket inside. On the front of the bag, there are also 2 smaller zippered pockets. This bag is great for day-to-day use and would be ideal for someone who commutes. They could safely bring with them their wallet, cell phone,MP3 player and still have room for a book, a water bottle and an umbrella!

Pacsafe offers the safest travel gear I’ve ever seen. I love how they have many different types of bags from the bag you take every day to go to work to the back pack you bring to school, to the laptop bag you need when you go on a business trip to the ultimate travel pack you can’t do without when you go backpacking or hiking. Pacsafe bags and travel gear are sure to be appreciated by anyone who has a busy lifestyle and who wants piece of mind even when carrying important documents, expensive items such as cameras, or anything else they hold dear.
