Thank you to Thule for providing me with a sample, free of charge, for review.  All opinions are my own.

Sometimes getting outdoors with young kids can be tough.  The fact that we live on a gravel road offers an even bigger challenge for me.  While we do live near a paved trail, we need to drive to the nearby town to access it.  So I began searching for a product that would allow me to take walks or go for a jog with our kids without having to load into a vehicle.  While I don’t typically make resolutions, in January of this year, I decided that once Spring hit that I would start to jog.  I wanted to lose a couple pounds and just be the healthiest I could be so this was a goal I set for myself.  Well, I found out I was pregnant at the end of January.  Since I’ve never truly jogged/ran in my entire life, I don’t feel comfortable starting now that we are expecting.  However, I am thrilled that I was able to partner with Thule for this review as I now have a great way to lose the baby weight after the baby is born.  For now, I will stick to walking with our Thule Chariot Chinook 2 and my husband can bike with it.

When the package containing our Thule Chariot Chinook 2 arrived, I was excited to get it open.  Even though it still felt like Winter on that April day, we decided to assemble the Chariot Chinook 2 so it would be ready for me to hit the road as soon as Minnesota decided to warm up.

I was pleasantly surprised at how easy the assembly turned out to be.  We followed the directions and had the Chariot Chinook 2 road worthy in about 15 minutes.  After removing from the box, we pulled the frame open.  There is a nice lever that turns green when it’s locked open.

Next, we had to secure the three wheels to the frame.  The instructions were clear and thorough and we had each wheel snapped and locked on tight with just a few steps.  Just a note: the tires did need to be pumped up upon arrival and before use.  The instructions say 30 to 35 psi.

The Chariot Chinook 2 was basically ready to roll then.  Thule also includes an infant car seat adapter with this product but we didn’t attach it because, for now, our 1 and 3 year olds will be the riders.  Once the baby comes, we will have to decide if we want to use that feature or not.

The seats on the Thule Chariot Chinook 2 are extremely padded.  They have additional inserts that velcro in and out to accommodate the younger riders.  Our boys are big enough that they don’t need the additional support but the baby will once he/she arrives.  The harnesses are well made and secure.  It would be nearly impossible for a young child to undo which creates a safe environment.

Finally, the Chariot Chinook 2 comes equipped with a bug netting, rain cover, side window venting, and large storage bag.  All of these features are built in and attached for ease of use.  The bug netting and rain cover can be rolled and secured to the top of the buggy if not needed.  The side window venting is easily accessible with the simple zipping or unzipping of the zipper.  Finally, the storage bag is attached to the bag of the Chariot Chinook and is large enough to store many essentials and even more.
