When it comes to storage and organization, I tend to have the most trouble with my bath products. I am a fairly simple girl – I don’t spend hours in the bathroom or own tons of hair and beauty items. Still, I always feel like I have too much because my bathroom and bathroom storage cabinets seem to be overflowing. In the 5 years since I turned 18, I have lived in four different apartments and they all had tiny bathrooms. I was recently sent some Spectrum Diversified products that have helped me get my bathroom better organized.

The first item is simply called the Large Shower Caddy. My apartment has a stand-up shower (no tub) that unlike other upright showers, doesn’t have dented “shelves” in the shower walls. It has a plastic handle that goes over 3 sides of the shower and one corner has a tiny shelf that I can balance two small items on but that isn’t enough space for everything we need to have in the shower. The Large Shower Caddy from Spectrum Diversified simply hangs over the shower head and has a shelf that is big enough to hold 3 larger containers such as a shampoo bottle, conditioner bottle and body wash bottle. It has a second shelf that is slightly indented so it can hold your razors or a bar of soap and it also has a hanging rack on the bottom that you can hang a washcloth or shower poof from. I like to keep a scrub brush in the shower so that I can clean the shower while I am showering so I use it to hang that on. At $8.99 it’s a super affordable way to add storage to your shower.

Our counter space in the bathroom is pretty limited. I have long, thick hair that takes hours to dry if I let it dry naturally. As a result, I rely on my blow-dry on days when I have to leave the house by a set time. I have a bad habit of leaving the blow dryer on the counter top because the only other storage we have in the bathroom is under the sink which is full of extra shampoo, body wash and household cleaning items that stand upright so laying the blow dryer down in there takes up a ton of horizontal space, limiting how much is left for storage.

The myBella over the cabinet styling rack is so convenient. It hooks over a cabinet and has three circular rings (one large and two smaller) that allow me to hang my blow dryer upright against the cabinet door. The other two rings could be used for curling irons, flat irons or hair brushes. I use one to hold my curling iron and the other to hold Ryan’s electric razor which also used to get left on the counter a lot. The two hooks could hold a thin styling tool like a curling iron or small flat-iron OR it can be used to help wind up cords on a styling tool. I use the hooks to contain my blow dryer cord. To contain the curling iron cord I just wrap it around the handle of the curling iron. It’s been great for keeping our counter clutter free.

Spectrum Diversified Cabinet Storage Basketspectrum over cabinet basket

Another great item for keeping your counters clutter free is the Over The Cabinet Medium Grid Basket. It hooks over any standard cabinet and is 11.5 inches tall, 6.75 inches wide and a few inches deep. It could be used to hold just about anything but I use it to hold my feminine protection items for easy access. As you can see, it is able to hold quite a lot. This basket could also be really convenient to use in the kitchen to hold cleaning products, sponges, dish soap, etc.

The last item that helped me organize my bathroom was the Ashley Stackable Tray. I have a lot of little odds and ends of items that would typically be found in a bathroom that are in a cabinet in another room in our house because our bathroom is too small to hold them. The cabinet has medications, first aid items, sunscreen, old prescription glasses, contacts, glasses cleaners, extra deodorant, q-tips, etc. I’ve tried organizing this cupboards with storage bins in the past which definitely helped but it still didn’t feel organized because I would have to stack the bins on top of each other (which looked really sloppy) because there were just too many bins to hold it all. None of the bins would sit on each other well so it just wasn’t ideal. The Ashley Stackable Trays are basically the same ideas of using bins to contain small items but they are designed to stack on top of each other so you can take advantage of the vertical space. I was surprised at how much space they freed up in this cabinet. I want to get some more of these to organize some of my other cabinets, they are really versatile. The bottom basket has legs that can fold under (like mine is in the picture) or pop out (like in the stock image).

What is your biggest bathroom storage problem? How do you address it?
