This mother’s day, give mom gourmet gifts from The Spice Lab. The Spice Lab specializes in teas, sea salts, spices, seasoning blends, oils, vinegars, sauces and more.
For my review, I received an Orange Vanilla loose leaf tea and a Georgia Peach loose leaf tea. I also received a package of Everglades Chicken & Gator Rub and Sicilian Blend grinder.
Orange Vanilla and Georgia Peach teas comes in stay-fresh jars with convenient measuring spoon. The Orange Vanilla tea is delightful; it has a wonderful bouquet of citrus zest, vanilla bean and rich black tea. Georgia Peach tea is fresh and has a rich peach flavor. Both teas are soothing served warm or refreshing served iced.
The Sicilian Blend is basil, oregano, rosemary, sea salt and a few secret ingredients. The Spice Lab website suggest mixing the Sicilian Blend with olive oil to dip your favorite breads into. I decided to first use it to dress my seafood pasta dish. It was delicious! The bouquet of herbs were flavorful and it had a nice spice to it….not to much heat for my kids.
Everglades Chicken & Gator Rub is made with dehydrated vegetables, salt, assorted spices, citrus peel, and herbs. As the name suggest, this is a great rub for chicken (or gator.) I decided to think a bit outside the box. I mixed the rub with, chili powder and brown sugar. I added the mix to a large pot of homemade baked beans. OMGoodness! The flavor was outstanding. We had baked beans two days in a row and no one complained about eating leftovers. My kids actually asked me to make them again AND they asked if they could take leftovers for school lunch. You know you have a winner when they ask for more and it passes the school lunch test!
Everything I received from The Spice Lab was delicious! It was obvious they cared about making quality products with fresh ingredients. I will for sure be purchasing from The Spice Lab.

Hello, my name is Laurie. My family and I live near the Oregon coast. When we aren’t at work, in school, or on the volleyball court, we enjoy traveling, cheering for our favorite sports teams, playing outdoors, and checking off items on our bucket list. We are lucky in that both sets of our parents, as well as our siblings and their families, live within an hour of us. We get together often to help one another out, celebrate milestones, and go on adventures together.

The tea sounds really yummy – I’m more of a fan of cold tea though. I had to actually read twice to see if that really was “gator” rub. I live up north and don’t see that often in our stores.

LOVE that the tea comes with a little measuring spoon!! I also love that you can SEE all the tea ingredients!! That’s when you know that the tea is amazing!! The seasonings sound equally amazing!! Yummo!!

These are so beautifully packaged I’d want to give them as a gift. I saw others now have spice monthly subscription boxes like everything else and thought how great it would be to get my own spices as a gift. My spices do need replenishing and these look fresh.
