The Classroom Friendly Supplies Sharpener is a little different than your typical sharpener. Instead of manually shoving the pencil in, the sharpener actually gently pulls the pencil as it sharpens. It’s also very easy to empty. Just slide the shavings drawer out, dump, and slide back in. We are able to sharpen a ton of pencils before even needing to empty.
The one tip I do have is with colored pencils. Always stop just a little before the sharpener as the lead in colored pencils is softer and breaks easier. So if you go until the sharpener stops like you would with a normal pencil, the lead will break. With regular pencils, just keep turning until the pencil stops moving and you’ll end up with the sharpest tip you’ve ever had!

This is very clever. Everyone knows how great a sharp tip is, and manual sharpeners are easy to overdue or break the tip. I love the design behind this sharpener.

That’s a cool sharpener. We used to have a battery operated one that I really liked, but it went bad after a while. I hate those little sharpeners that you get for kids to take to school- they never last. This one looks like it’d work for a long time.

I love all the bright colors from which to choose. I know mechanical pencils are popular but I still love a good old-fashioned sharp wooden pencil.
Like you I like a sharp pencil tip. It is a necessity for doing sudoku and crossword puzzles. We have one of the old style mount on the wall or desk type found in schools. It works well, but we haven’t found a convenient place to mount it in this house. Thanks for the review.
