did a threadkiller contest on the etsy forums that I won! The prize was any bar of soap from their shop. I picked The carmel apple soap pictured above. It smells absolutely GREAT. My boyfriend literally said “That soap smells SO good, that there’s no WAY it actually works. If all soap could smell that good and still work like soap, why wouldn’t ALL soap be scented like that?”
Later that night when he got out of the shower i asked him if he used the soap. he replied “of course!” and I asked “& you feel clean right? like it worked?” and said he did!
I felt the same way! I have no clue why you can’t buy amazing smelling bars of soap in wal mart! But homemade is better anyway =].
The only thing about this soap that I didn’t like at first was it made my hands red – almost made them look bloody. so it felt weird to use it on my body, even though i knew it was just soap. i also was afraid it would stain my wash cloth so i got out of the shower and grabbed an old wash cloth. but after it came through the wash it hadn’t stained at all. I realized afterward that I should ahve read the product description better because it says right in the listing says that it might color your body or wash cloth but it’ll come out in the wash without staining.
So overall I definitely recommend heathen’s hearth
