I’ve mentioned several times before how much my boyfriend is into technology. When I got the opportunity to work with budget gadgets I jumped at the chance, I knew Ryan would find something he’d love to review. I am not real interested in tech gadgets myself, but even for an everyday person like me I found lots of stuff that caught my attention on the website.
Who wouldn’t prefer a wireless nunchuck remote to one with a cord? We could definitely use those! They have several other wii accessories too, such as a steering wheel, a DDR mat, gun attatchments and others. They also sell products for other game systems too, not just for the wii.
For those not into video games they also have phone accessories, bike accessories and more. For tech lovers there’s an endless amount of awesome gifts. Remote controlled helicopters, boats, and lots more.
For our review, my boyfriend decided on the USB wifi/bluetooth 2 in 1 adaptor. I will be really honest here and admit that I really have no understanding of how wifi works, or much of anything about bluetooth either. So when this came in the mail I told him to make sure to remember what he liked, how it worked, if there was anything he would like changed or modified, etc. I knew that I couldn’t make a quality review for this item because I don’t get how it works or what it can do at all.
When I asked him what he thought about the adaptor he said overall it’s great. This is what he wanted me to let you all know about this adaptor.
One night we house sat for my aunt. We took our computers and were in her living room trying to use her internet, when our old USB wifi adaptor broke. At first we were bummed thinking we would be stuck there all night with very little to do. Well thankfully, when this package came in the mail Ryan stuck it in one of our laptop cases that we had with us. So he set this one up for us at my aunts and it worked great. We were relieved to have internet back :). He said the interface is fine and he doesn’t think it needs any modifications at all.
Besides just wifi abilities, the adaptor has bluetooth abilities. I wanted to make sure we reviewed that part of this product too. Ryan said he was able to use this adaptor to put mp3 music onto his cell phone. He said that the bluetooth menu system was a bit awkward to figure out but he was still able to fairly quickly figure it out and managed to still add music to his phone without any real problem. He said that although he had wished the interface was a bit more user-friendly, it wouldn’t have caused him to be unhappy with the product at all. He said he would be very pleased with this product even if we had paid for it, which is the view I always try to review from anyway, because I know to you guys out there that’s what’s important, is whether it’s worth the money or not, and he definitely thinks it is.
He also said that although he’s been too lazy to get around to it just yet, he hopes to eventually use this tool to connect one of our wii remotes to the computer, so it can be used to play games. I had no idea this was possible at all, but he said it can be used sideways like a nes/SNES controller but you can’t use it to point at the screne or anything. However, this is still cool because you can now play a lot of video games online if you have a controller that will connect to the computer. So hopefully he gets around to doing that for us soon because it sounds like fun.
Overall we were very happy with the adaptor and would recommend it to others.
