Have you heard of Hard Candy? Hard candy makes make up that I am familiar with because it’s sold at wal mart near my home. They make a large variety of cosmetics, including make up for the eyes, lips, nails, face and body. So as you can tell they pretty much make everything. I was sent three products for review.

Hard Candy brand Curl Up and Dye mascara in Late Night

The first item I was sent was their ‘Curl up and Dye’ mascara, in Late Night, which is a dark green color. I had never used a mascara that wasn’t black or very dark. I was hesitant if the green color would show up at all, and it does if it’s a well lit area but seems how my eye lashes are naturally black, it doesn’t show up as well as I might have hoped. However I imagine it would work much better for people who don’t have black eyelashes. It does work well as a regular mascara, in making my lashes seem bolder, thicker and longer. Also, I often have a problem with eye irritation from eyeliners and I didn’t experience that with this, so I think I will definitely check out Hard Candy’s other mascaras.

I was also sent their Fortune Gloss. It’s a pretty regular lip gloss, and makes your lips look smooth and shiny. I absolutely love the smell of the ‘fortune’ kind that I was sent. It smells like bananas which I love! The gloss isn’t super sticky but is a little bit sticky, but not to the point where it bothers me. I really love the smell of it! hehe.

Hard Candy’s Meteor eyeshadow in black hole

The last item I was sent was some of their Meteor Eyes eye shadow. This item is my favorite of the items I reviewed. I was sent the color ‘black hole’ which is a dark black with silver. I really like how this looks because I don’t like wearing colored eyeshadow much, I just wear gray or black. In some ways I prefer black over gray, but sometimes I feel like black eyeshadow is a bit too bold, so I think the glitteryness of the silver that is in the gray is great. I also like this eyeshadow because you only have to put it on once, unlike a lot of eyeshadow I’ve had in the past where you have to apply it 3 times in a row just to get it to appear the color it is in the container.

Also I wanted to point out that Hard Candy doesn’t test their products on animals!
