It’s funny to think about the world that young kids live in. Can you imagine living in a world where all of the tables, chairs, sinks, mirrors, etc were all twice as high (or even higher) as you needed them to be? I can’t! Although we can’t tailor everything to our little ones, it’s nice to have as many products in their room be their size as possible. Plus, little chairs and furniture are so cute! They can be so expensive though, ranging into a couple hundred dollars a piece. Then, there’s the plastic options which are cheaper but break quicker – and there’s always the added worry about what’s in the chair itself that could be harmful to your kid. Now, there’s cardboard children’s furniture too! I knew cardboard was becoming popular for play houses and toys, but until a month or so ago I had no idea that it was even possible to make little chairs and tables out of cardboard. I was sent two club chairs from green town toys for review. The chairs are shipped like a flattened box, but easily unfold and snap into shape in less than 5 minutes. Directions were included but I didn’t use them, it was pretty self explanatory and I had no trouble putting the chairs together. They are adorable and come in four colors, and are a great size for kids 1-4 or so. The seat has a weight limit of 250lbs. Wow! The seat is not centered in the middle of the chair, so depending on which ‘end’ you place the chair, it changes the height of the chair making it adjustable for a wider range of kids. I tried this out with my 4 and 6 year old nephews. My 4 year old nephew is a bit small for his age, but when he used the chair flipped so that the seat was at its highest point, it sat comfortably and appeared to fit the seat well. My 6 year old nephew could also use it, and found the chair to be cute and fun, but it seemed a bit too small for him. However, when you consider that the chair retails for just 10.79, a 4 year age gap is a long life for such an affordable seat. In addition to the club chair, Green Town Toys also sells other cardboard childrens furniture, such as the Tot Pod, which is a table and 2 chairs for kids ages 2-5, that sells for just 29.79. I love how affordable Green Town Toys products are. They also sell cardboard toys such as a cardboard citadel, boat and more. They would fit in really well with a pirate or princess themed birthday party! Plus, all of their products are 100% recyclable when you’re done!
