Many of you have probably wondered where the name “Boo’s and rawr’s” came from. I run an etsy shop where I sell stuffed animals that are monsters, so boo and rawr are monster noises, and I named my etsy shop boo’s and rawr’s. When I originally made this blog it was for my etsy shop, so I created it to have the same name as the etsy shop.
However, for about a year and a half now I haven’t done much with my etsy shop and the name is confusing to everyone. I even get emails referring to my blog as “boo’s and drawers” pretty regularly, lol. So I have decided to change my name and URL to something more fitting to my blog. Around midnight tonight (Sunday night/Monday morning) I’m having Ryan change my blog over to EmilyReviews.com and the name will be Emily Reviews. So if you wonder what happened to my blog, it’s still here, nothing content wise is changing I just was sick and tired of having such a weird, confusing blog name. I’ll also be getting an all new layout that Ryan designed, and a new button, etc. I’m excited for the change and hope you all will like my new website layout.
I’m also getting a new twitter acount, which is @emilyreviewscom. Somebody had already taken Emilyreviews so its kinda weird. My facebook fan page is staying the same, and my GFC and email subscribers should automatically be carried over. So other than refollowing me on twitter you shouldn’t have to do anything to keep up with me.
Hi there! I am Emily Evert, the owner of Emily Reviews. I am 28 and live in a small town in Michigan with my boyfriend Ryan and our two pugs. I have a large family and I adore my nieces and nephews. I love reading memoirs, and learning about child development and psychology. I love watching The Game of Thrones, Teen Mom, Sister Wives and Veep. I like listening to Jason Isbell, John Prine, and other alt-country or Americana music. I created Emily Reviews as a creative outlet to share my life and the products that I love with others.

Okay, see, I always thought it had something to do with reviews. Like some products are “boos” and some are so awesome, they make you rawr. Good luck with your switch! I’ll be sure to refollow you on twitter.

Aw! I loved your blog title! I always thought it was super cute! Maybe that’s because I knew about your Etsy Shop though.
But still, Emily Reviews sounds great too!
I hope you have an easy transition, and I’m sure the new layout will be great! I can’t wait to see it :)!

It’s a lot of work to change names, but you had good reason to do it. The tough thing is remembering to change it in all those other locations like Facebook fan page, Twitter account, your blog button, any blog lists you’re on, etc. Good luck with the change!

Whirlwind of Surprises

Sounds like it will be a relatively easy transition.
