My household is on the mend from having a pretty rough cold that included headaches, congestion sore throats and we were all feeling pretty lethargic. A couple weeks ago I was sent some pine bro’s throat drops to review and was hoping to eat one while healthy to get an idea of them, but not actually get sick and use them. Turns out that my sore throat came at a great time for this review though. The drops come in a circular container and hold contain 26 drops each. I was a bit surprised that the drops weren’t individually wrapped, but they didn’t seem to stick together at all so perhaps the wrappers are just wasteful in those “other brands”. I was sent their Natural Honey cough drops wild cherry cough drops. I’m not typically a huge fan of cherry flavored things, but I really enjoyed these drops. They have a pleasant taste and aren’t overpowering with the medicinal flavor like many brands of throat drops are. Yet, they seem to work just as well as any other cough drop i’ve ever tried. I was quite impressed by them. The natural honey drops aren’t as sweet as I would have expected, but they tasted fine anyway. Pine bro’s cough drops are unique in that they aren’t similar to hard candy. Instead, they have a slight gumminess to them. The closest thing I can think of, would be a stale gummy bear. They aren’t so soft that you could easily chew them in half like a non-stale gummy bear but they definitely have give to them. They are recommended for people age 3 and up only. I went through the entire container in the three or four days that I was the sickest and was thankful to have had them around. You can purchase pine bros online or at CVS and some other local pharmacies.
