Ds’s and ds games are so popular now, but most games seem to be the same. You beat up some bad guys, or collect a bunch of coins until you level up. The in the next level, you beat up some bad guys and collect more coins. Maybe the characters differ but beyond that they are all the same. I like max and the magic marker because it adds a creative, thoughtful spin to it’s games. Kids use their ds stylus to help create the game. Max might come across areas where a bridge or stairs are missing, and your child will get to draw them in with their stylus. In other situations, max might be in danger of getting soaking wet with rain, so your child can create a bubble for max to crawl around in like a hamster, which can protect him from the rain. This game is neat because it’s not too difficult for kids to play – my 8 year old sister figured this out without help. Yet, I really enjoy playing it as well. I think this game will appeal to people who like puzzles or riddles, or who enjoy being crafty and creative. For a kids game, I like how it’s not based around a show or cartoon character, like almost all games and toys seem to be these days. I think it’s good for kids to get outside of their cartoon related games and toys, and try out something new that they are unfamiliar with. In this case, I think they’ll find that these games are just as fun as cartoon based games, or even better!
