Morgans boutique is an online store that sells mineral makeup and other cosmetic items. In my hunt to try out makeup I lined up this review and I’m glad I did because I’ve had a great experience with every item I received.
I had never tried a face primer before, and even today I still haven’t tried any brand or type other than the complexion face primer from morgan’s boutique but it goes on really smooth and seems like it will last quite a while because a little goes a long way. It’s nice and smooth without feeling thick or oily, and just feels great against my skin.
The blemish and capillary concealer does a nice job of covering up, but it’s a bit dark for me so I’ve been mixing it with a lighter concealer that I have, and together they work great for me.
I was also sent the medium neutral mineral foundation for review. I love how this product comes in neutral, where as many companies only offer warm or cool tones. I’ve never been able to determine whether I am warm or cool toned, so it’s always been a source of frustration. This foundation matches my skin well and goes on really light feeling, while covering well. Perhaps it’s from my makeup inexperience but I had trouble with the sifter, as the product was too compact to flow through the sifter. so I took it out and just use a bit of product in the lid, instead of putting my brush into the main container.
Additionally,I got a silky soft synthetic ultimate kabuki brush which I’ve used with the foundation. It is super soft to the touch and I haven’t noticed any shedding at all.
On top of that, I got two lip products to check out. The first is lip treat in nude pink (pictured above). I really like this shade, I think it looks really nice. It’s similar to lipstick except more creamy, and comes in a skinny tube. I like how easy it is to control the application, unlike larger, wider lipsticks or glosses. I also appreciate how it doesn’t clump onto dry areas or imperfections in my lips. I’ve had a hard time keeping my lips from chapping this winter, and have had to quit using a lot of my other lip products, but this one looks great even when my lips are a bit dry.
The other lip item is Hint of Mint lipgloss in mint victorian charm (pictured above). This is my favorite lipgloss that I have ever tried. I love how it has a mild minty smell that seems really fresh. It also has a slight tingle when applied which feels nice, and of course it looks nice too. This is similar to my natural lip color, but adds just a bit of color and some shine as well.
And lastly, I was sent two eye products. The first is lasheluxe mascara which works well for me. I haven’t had problems with clumping or anything. The last item – the basic eyeliner pencil is my absolute favorite item. While i’m new to most types of makeup, I’m not at all new to eyeliner, as I’ve worn it for years. I’ve tried many brands and have had sensitivities to a lot of brands, and was excited that this eyeliner didn’t bother my eyes at all.The main reason why it’s my new favorite type of eyeliner is how strong the color definition is. With a quick, light swipe over my eyes this eyeliner shows up DARK black. With other eyeliners, I’d go over the same line three or four times to get it as dark as this. It’s so much easier to make a perfect line when I only have to draw it once. With other brands, I’d never be able to keep the liner as thin as it is in the above photo. I love being able to just barely get my waterline. It’s also waterproof which is nice for me because I have allergies and my eyes will often water throughout the day so waterproof is a must for me. I’ll definitely be coming back to morgan’s boutique for this eyeliner for a long time to come.
