My mother in law recently took my 5 year old niece to a movie at the theater that was rated pg. She thought my niece would enjoy the film and that it would be a nice treat for her. While my niece did enjoy the movie overall, there was a certain scene that my mother in law wasn’t expecting to be in the film, that seemed to scare my niece at the time, and that my niece has brought up in conversation a few times since. My mother in law has continued to explain and reexplain that movies aren’t real, that the scene wasn’t real, etc but my niece still seems bothered by what she saw. Kidtoons is dedicated to helping parents avoid similar situations, but promoting movies that are 100% safe for kids of all ages. Each month, kidtoons picks a movie. You can check out the kidtoons website for a list of theaters that offer kidtoons supported movies, you’ll be surprised that there is most likely one near you. I live in a fairly rural area and have two within a reasonable distance for me. To celebrate this month’s kidtoons movie, which is the gruffalo, we have a gruffalo prize package to giveaway.
