I have wide feet, so while dress shoes may be uncomfortable for most everyone, they are usually painful for me. I have a medium shoe size, so I often buy my dress shoes a size big so that they are a tiny bit wider, but I don’t wear heels much. When I do, I wear them through the mandatory time periods and then as soon as I get a chance to sit with my legs under a table I slip them off. At school dances, we’d all end up barefoot. If only it were socially acceptable to do that as an adult! Kushyfoot offers foldable ballet flat shoes that fold up so small that they can be slipped inside of a purse. You can bring them along to weddings or clubs so that you can change into them when your dress shoes start hurting your feet. The pair I received was Zebra stripe but they also come in alligator, snakeprint, black, gold and silver. I usually fit a size 7.5 and I was sent size 7-8 and they fit comfortably, but the heel area seems to extend further back than my heel goes. However, there is elastic around the heel so they stay in place despite being a bit big.

I was also sent a pair of microfiber crew socks which are 92& nylon. The bottom side of the sock has a unique zig zag design that gives a unique, tight squeeze feeling to the bottom of the foot. My calves seem to be a bit too big for them, as the top has a tenancy to roll down. They are designed to fit shoe sizes 5-9 and they fit me perfectly as a size 7.5 shoe.
