Car Seat covers can get dirty so often when you have toddlers. My nephew recently got a new car seat which is an Evenflo maestro. The cover that it comes with is very tricky to get off which is a pain if you want to wash the cover regularly like you need to with a toddler.
Baby Bella Maya makes car seat covers for infant and toddler car seats that are much easier to remove than the standard cover for the evenflo maestro was. Instead of having to rethread the straps, the cover has two rows of snaps that go down the middle of the carseat where the carseat straps are. You simply pull the straps through the gaps in between the buttons to use the carseat. When you need to remove the cover, you just peel it away on the edges (it is held on by eleastic around the edges) and unsnap the two rows of snaps in the middle and it’s off. The cover is machine washable and is able to quickly be put back on for further use.
The toddler car seat covers at Baby Bella Maya are designed to fit the Britax marathon toddler car seat and will fit most similarly sized and shaped car seats. The Evenflo Masestro has a larger head area than most other toddler car seats (it converts into a booster for older children) so the brown lining that should be slightly behind the head piece is visible from the front on the maestro. However, aside from that part being aligned a bit oddly, it works fine for the seat. There are two holes that allow the lowest safety strap to come up through the child’s leg area. The maestro has two settings for where the lower safety strap can be positioned, so it’s great that the cover also has these two holes so that once Drew grows and the safety strap needs to be moved forward, we can still use the cover, just with the second hole.
These covers could be a great way to extend your carseats use by hiding the original cover color such as if your carseat for your first child was pink, you could buy a cover instead of having to buy a new seat if your second child were a boy.
The cover we reviewed is called little boy blue and is the only male themed toddler carseat cover currently available at baby bella maya. There is also a gender neutral option and tons of girl designs. I’d love to see them expand with additional “boy” options. They also sell diaper covers, leggings, headbands, shoes and more. Be sure to check them out if you have a baby or toddler or have a baby shower to head to. Lots of adorable stuff!
