SkinFare (previously SkinFood) is a skin care line dedicated to being truly sustainable, this is evident in their fully biodegradable paper packaging and organic, natural ingredients. Currently, SkinFare o offers SkinFood Topical Nourishment. SkinFare has lots of plans for the future, later this year, they will be adding more scents and sizes of SkinFood.
SkinFood Topical Nourishment is made of coconut oil, palm fruit oil, beeswax, castor oil, palmarosa, rosemary verbenon, and helichrysum – all completely organic. The combination of moisturizing coconut oil with essential oils makes for a product that has helped heal a variety of skin conditions including, bites, rashes, chafing, cuts, burns, blisters, diaper rash, stretch marks, nursing sores, cradle cap, and many more.
For my review, I received the SkinFood Topical Nourishment 25ml tube. The 25ml tube is very much like a large lip balm tube and makes for incredibly easy, mess-free application. The container is 100% paper – no plastic in sight, which I absolutely love, and I’m sure the environment appreciates as well.
The salve is solid (the same consistency as lip balm) and you push the bottom to raise it up out of the tube and apply it wherever you need it.
I don’t have any particular skin issues that I’m trying to heal, so I use it every morning and night on my face, neck, and chest and it’s wonderful! At first glance at the ingredients I thought for sure I was in for some major breakouts on my face since I have sensitive, acne-prone skin. I was shocked to use it day after day without a blemish in sight. It feels a little thick when it first goes on, but that passes and leaves behind soft, moisturized skin – I find myself touching my face throughout the day because I can’t believe how great it feels.
The smell is also very nice – it’s subtle, not too strong, but a very relaxing scent. I carry it around with me to use as lip balm, it is amazing! I can’t wait to try the 4 new scents that come out later this year.

Hello, my name is Laurie. My family and I live near the Oregon coast. When we aren’t at work, in school, or on the volleyball court, we enjoy traveling, cheering for our favorite sports teams, playing outdoors, and checking off items on our bucket list. We are lucky in that both sets of our parents, as well as our siblings and their families, live within an hour of us. We get together often to help one another out, celebrate milestones, and go on adventures together.
